A Strange Occurrence During Lunch

During lunch, as Izumi walks towards the tables with a tray of food, she wonders where she should sit... Usually she'd either sit with Uraraka and Iida, but for some reason she can't quite shake her curiosity surrounding Hagakure and Mina's conversation. She finds their table and heads over, calling out to them as she approaches. "Uh... hey! You mind if I sit with you guys?"

At the table, she finds Eijiro Kirishima joining the two, leaving just one empty spot. Mina and Hagakure don't seem to break their talk, but Kirishima looks up from his food with a smile. "Oh hey Midoriya, sure you can sit here!" He pats the seat next to him enthusiastically.

Izumi giggles a bit at the hospitality, a small blush forming on her face as she sets her tray down. Once she finally settles in, the two others talking finally acknowledge her presence, Mina turning to face her. "You wanna come with?" She asks with a smile.

"...Come... with?" Izumi tilts her head.

"To the mall? Sorry didn't realize you didn't hear us. I promised Toru we'd go soon and she was just reminding me, we're going after class."

"Oh... uh I dunno... I have some homework that might take a while. Gotta get ahead of it before the internships, you know?"

With her smile never wavering, Mina nods her head. "I understand, if you ever change your mind just let us know though!" Immediately they go back to talking fashion brands and new styles typical of girls their age. Most of it is lost on Izumi, though the occasional hero equipment mention does manage to break through her knowledge barrier.

Hagakure doesn't talk much, simply enamoured by how knowledgeable Mina seems to be with this kind of stuff. "Wow! I knew you knew your stuff, but I didn't realize just how much there was to know about it all!" Leaning in from her chair, Hagakure wraps her arms around Mina, squeezing her tightly, grunting with excitement like a child hugging a stuffed teddy bear. Mina simply smiles through the embrace, before her eyes go wide as her lips pucker and a suction noise can be heard. "Mwah~ Thanks so much for doing this for me Mina, my wardrobe has started to get kinda bland lately..." Hagakure says, moments after breaking a sudden kiss with Mina. A visible strand of saliva runs from Mina's bottom lip, stretching into thin air where Hagakure is before it breaks.

"Oh uh... yeah sure, no problem!" It takes a moment for the Alien Queen to compose herself, but soon finds herself able to shake off the strange action and continue their lunch.

As time goes on, the table starts splitting into two groups. On top of the girls talking about their mall trip tonight, Izumi and Kirishima start conversing about their own subject. "So if I just take 5 minutes between sets, that should help with my hardening?" Kirishima asks.

"Mhm! Or at least your endurance, I was able to get my endurance up a bit with Sir Nighteye, though it'd probably help you out a bit more." The two talk strategy, a contrast to the girltalk one would expect Izumi to be involved in instead. Though, the giggling and gossip beside her is suddenly cut short, Mina clearing her throat and standing up. Izumi looks over at her to see her cheeks flushed and her legs a bit shaky.

"Hey... I'll uh- I'll be r-right back." She doesn't wait for an answer from anyone, instead turning and rushing to the bathroom, like someone about to puke.

"What was that all about?" Izumi asks.

Hagakure shrugs her shoulder, confused as well. "Dunno..." They sit there in silence for a couple more minutes, suddenly worried for their friend. Izumi is about to stand up and go check on her when Hagakure speaks once again. "So hey, you sure you don't want to go to the mall later? Mina is totally the expert on this kind of stuff, this might be your best chance to get something trendy and nice without getting scammed into getting something off-brand..."

Izumi raises an eyebrow. "Since when do you care about designer brands so much?" Suddenly, ehind Hagakure, the bathroom door swings open, letting Izumi get a glance at Mina. She takes a breath, happy her friend seems to be doing better.

The Alien Queen walks with her head down, fixing her outfit and buttoning up the top buttons of her shirt, why did she have them undone? Her hand runs through her hair, seemingly styling it, fluffing it up in a way that seems a bit poofier than usual. Though Izumi can't quite tell if she's completely alright until she reaches the table, finally lifting her head up all the way and letting her hair fall back, resting just above her shoulders. "Wha?" Izumi can't believe what she's seeing, is her hair longer?

"Ooh~ Did you get hair extensions Mina? They look amazing!" Hagakure doesn't seem the least bit confused, as she clasps her hands together, beaming at the new look of her BFF.

Mina smiles hazily, putting a hand on her hip and popping her hip out. "Oh that...? It just kinda... yeah, I guess I did, they're super cute right?" She grabs at her longer hair, running her fingers through it.

"Did you just go in there to put them on to surprise us or something?" Kirishima asks, smiling at the new look of his old friend. "Because it suits you!"

The table all shares a laugh about Mina's hair, Izumi mostly forcing one to fit in, her confusion on the matter stopping her from fully enjoying it. Then soon after, the bell rings to send them all back to class. Izumi stands up, her tray in her hands as she turns to head back, when Mina calls out again. "Remember, that offer for the mall still stands~"
