The first signs came two weeks after that endless night: nausea that even her Kryptonian power couldn't suppress, fatigue that wouldn't be relieved by solar sleep, and a strange feeling in her womb—like a tiny star was forming.

Carol was by her side; always.

They had built a special room in the secret base of Stark Tower: impact-resistant walls, solar-filtered windows, and a bed reinforced with Kryptonian technology and cosmic energy.

**Carol (her hand on Kara's stomach, gently transferring her photon energy):**

"I feel it... a small beat. Not just a heart... but two kinds of energy. One like your sun, one like my galaxy."

Kara smiled, but her eyes were filled with worry.

**Kara:**

"What if this child... is from two worlds? What if it can't fit into either?"

Carol kissed her forehead.

On a rainy night in New York, the pain began.

Doctor Strange opened a portal for **Kara's mother (Allura Zor-El)** to come from Argo City.

**Kara (screaming between contractions):**

**Carol (increasing her energy, voice shaking):**

The fetus didn't want to come through a natural birth.

Strange opened a small portal to let the excess energy out - like a small, controlled black hole.

Silence.

The moment of birth

A little boy with dark blond hair (a mix of Kara's gold and Carol's brown), eyes closed, but his skin radiating two colors of light: solar gold and photonic white.

Kara held him, tears streaming down his baby's face.

Carol sat down next to them, holding a little finger.

Kay-El opened her eyes.

K-El was walking now.

• In the sunlight, her skin turned golden and she flew.
• In the moonlight, photonic energy shot out of her hands, making objects float.

Alora's grandmother came from Argo City and taught her Kryptonian.

Mary Jane from Marvel Earth read her stories about Uncle Peter Parker.

And every night, his two mothers would put him to sleep between them:

**Carol (whispering):** “You are our bridge. Between two worlds. But your home is here.”

**Kara (kissing her forehead):** “And we will always hold you.”

Kay-El smiled in her sleep.

In her veins, two galaxies flowed.

And in her heart, just one word:

**Home.**

In the New York sky, a new star was shining.
