A Spanking Too Far?

EPISODE 5: Fred Vincy has a plan to sell his horse and use Uncle Peter’s money to buy a better horse which he expects to sell at a profit. Unfortunately the plan utter fails and now in debt to almost everybody he knows, he turns to Mary’s family who are not exactly wealthy but like him. He appeals to Mary to perhaps ‘be nicer’ to Uncle Peter so that he might lend money to her family which he can then borrow off them. Mary is furious exclaiming the she already feels she does enough for the old pervert. However the 2 lovers make up and she says she will see what she can do.

Uncle Peter summons Mary informing he knows everything about the horse, the debts, and her family’s plans to help Fred. From now on he will increase her pay significantly if she cares for him in her underwear. Bony fingers reach out to grab and pinch her whenever she is near his bed. He drops something on the floor so she is **** to turn around and bend over. With a huge effort on his part he pulls her towards him and starts licking her cunt. “Oh to taste youth again” and she just stands there until he loses interest.

Fred, although his mood had been brightened by Mary, has fallen seriously ill. The Vincy’s incompetent doctor tries to treat him but Lydgate diagnoses typhoid and is thus installed as their new family doctor, much to Rosamond’s joy. However Lydgate, though like every man in Middlemarch fancying the pants off her, is wary of romantic entanglement and seeks to cure Fred with maximum speed. Rumours about the couple are spreading around Middlemarch, and despite members of her family telling her Lydgate will never be rich and famous, Rosamond chooses not to believe them.

The Casaubons return with a more strident Dorothea being openly sarcastic when he refuses to allow Will to visit. The marriage is not going as either of them imagined but after a bit of taunting, Casaubon can take it no longer. As she is praying in her nightgown, Casaubon picks her up and throws her on the bed ripping her nightgown violently fucking his surprised wife in the missionary position. He comes very quickly with the inexperienced Dorothea nevertheless taunting him over his performance. He bends her over the bed, spanks her, turning as red in the face as she does in the bottom, before collapsing in a fit.

A **** Dorothea sends for Sir James who arrives with his new fiancée, Celia. He brings in his new friend, Lydgate, who declares that Casaubon is overworked and Dorothea is blameless.

COMMENT: As mentioned before we could have gone a lot further with Tabitha. This was all tame stuff for her. She even asked about how the bed-ridden man went to the toilet, so I had to explain to her that we had already gone to the very edge of alienating certain parts of the audience and I did not want to damage our chances at the BAFTAs, or being shown on HBO.

We had not really set any limits on spanking but we thought that our heroine Dorothea might seem too submissive if she accepted any more than a few shock smacks. I could think of a few books which would allow more brutal striking but not here. Anne was fine with it.
