Chapter 16 by Zeebop Zeebop

What does Sue Storm's new costume look like?

A She-Hulk-style One-Piece

There had been a time, when Sue Storm was on maternity leave, when She-Hulk had been a member of the Fantastic Four. Being super-strong, her costume had required the maximum amount of freedom of movement, and so had been effectively only a one-piece swimsuit, arms and legs bare, and tailored to fit her full figure.

Apparently the basic design was still in the unstable molecule loom's databanks.

The Invisible Woman frowned as she modeled the new outfit in front of the mirror. Her proportions and Shulkie's weren't the same. Despite the added muscle mass of the last few days, Sue was neither as muscular or as trim. The result was less than flattering. The taut fabric emphasized Sue's increased bust, but it also felt like her arms and legs were out of proportion and on display.

"Fuck it," she muttered and headed back to the gym to work out her frustration.

The gym had become her refuge. There was something about forty-pound arm-curls that helped Sue just not think about how her breasts were sore, or that she couldn't sleep on her stomach anymore. Yet with every crunch, she could feel her tits squish into her knees. With every squat, she could feel her costume ride up her ass. The rage inside of her seemed to build and build, as day after day went by with H.E.R.B.I.E. making no progress toward a cure.

Worse, Sue Storm couldn't hide the changes in her body forever.

The nurse still came by every day, to check her leg wound—which, thankfully, was healing quicker. Nurse Georgia Jenkins couldn't miss the increased size and muscular development of Sue's thigh and calf, even though the heroine did her best to cover up when she came by. Sue dreaded when the subject came up—which it inevitably did.

"I have to warn you about the dangers of anabolic steroids," the Black woman said, as she changed the dressing. "It won't make your recovery any faster."

"I'M NOT—" Sue started to yell, then controlled herself. "I'm not doing steroids. I was exposed to a mutagen a little while ago. The effects are...apparently similar."

The excuse sounded unbelievable and lame, even to Sue. Nurse Jenkins raised an eyebrow as she placed the used bandages in a small biohazrd bag, followed by her gloves.

"And are you receiving treatment for this...mutagen?"

"H.E.R.B.I.E. is researching a cure," Sue told her. "Until my husband gets home."

"And when is that?" Nurse Jenkins pressed. The dark eyes sought and held Sue's own.

Again, Sue had to resist the urge to scream at the woman. What was it any business of hers?

"I don't know. A week, maybe two," Sue admitted.

Nurse Jenkins nodded slowly. When at last she spoke, the words were carefully chosen. "I know I'm here in a capacity as a nurse, but my expertise goes far beyond nursing. I provide a wide variety of services to the superhuman community. If you need access to medical care—of any nature—arrangements can be provided with complete discretion."

Sue frowned. She wasn't sure what the woman was getting at.

"What kind of services?" Sue asked, at last.

What kind of service does the nurse offer?
