A Reunion!

I appear in my Domain and look around. I see Asami sitting on the couch nearby.

"Master! Welcome back." Asami says.

"Thanks, have you seen Gaia around? I need to talk to her real quick." I ask and she nods. She points upstairs before speaking.

"She's in your Craftsman Workshop." She replies and I thank her. I run upstairs and enter my Craftsman Workshop. I see Gaia sitting in the same seat she was in when she asked me to contact Verona. She stands up when she sees me.

"Eric, how did it go? Did she attack you?" Gaia asks me worried, after seeing the blood on my armor. I quickly explain how I got these injuries while fighting the Slime Ruler. I then tell her about my encounter with Verona. "She wants to see me?" Gaia asks, thinking aloud. "But I can't go out there. Traces of my mana could escape the Dungeon." She continues.

"Do you want me to bring her here?" I ask her and she looks at me, her face a mix of joy and sadness.

"Would you be okay with that?" She asks and I sigh while rubbing the back of my head.

"I mean, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit worried. I tried to use Observe on her earlier. Not only did it not work, but she used a similar skill on me. But she does seem to really miss you, I even saw her tear up when I cast Gaia's Embrace. So if you trust her not to attack the others, I'll let her in." I say and Gaia smiles.

"Then yes, would you please bring Verona here?" She asks, small tears forming in the corner of her eyes. I nod before exiting my Domain. I appear back in front of Verona, who hasn't moved. She looks at me expectantly, again. I sigh and step forward before extending my hand toward her.

"Verona, let me see your hand. I'll take you to my Domain, where Gaia is." I say and Veron nods. She walks over to me and takes my hand. I bring us into my Domain and Verona looks around. She sees Asami who just looks at her puzzled.

"Master, whose this?" Asami asks, worried and a little mad. I open my mouth to explain before Verona starts talking.

"Where's Gaia? I can see her Mana Trail all over. It's overlapped too much to tell which is the most recent through." She asks half talking to us, half thinking aloud.

"She's upstairs I'll show you. Sorry Asami, I'll explain later." I say and Asami nods with a frown before I lead Verona upstairs. I open the door to my Craftsman Workshop and Verona enters. Before I even enter, I can hear the sound of someone running. I then hear something crash to the ground. I look and see Gaia on the ground, the chair she was in is toppled over next to her. Verona is on top of her, hugging her tightly. Verona isn't saying anything and Gaia is softly stroking her head. I decide to let them have some privacy and start closing the door.

"Gaia, I'll be downstairs if you need me. Try keeping Verona in here. I haven't told any of the others about her yet." I say and Gaia mouths a quick thank you before I leave. I walk downstairs and see Asami waiting for me.

"So Master, who was that?" She asks me, slightly annoyed. "Did you bring another stranger here?"

"No, her name is Verona. She's the Goddess of Knowledge and Gaia's friend. Gaia asked me to bring her here." I explain and Asami nods.

"Then come sit. I heard about the Dungeon you, Luna, and Innu cleared. I want to see what you got." She says, her curiosity showing in her voice. I smile and sit next to her on the couch. I open my inventory and Observe the drops I got, excluding the Slime Ruler Gel. I do see that the Slime Ruler I slayed dropped another 35 Gel, giving me a total of 70.

Acidic Slime Gel(100) Rare Alchemy Ingredient

Acidic Slime Gel is a powerful Ingredient to use in poisons. It's capable of making poisons that'll melt the drinker from the inside. It can also be used to make acid bomb potions or other throwable acids.

Acidic Slime Core(4) Epic Alchemy Ingredient

These Acidic Slime Cores are dead. They contain the raw mana of the Slimes but have lost their acidic properties. This makes them highly sought after since they're basically balls of mana that can enhance a potion or be mixed with other ingredients to raise their rank.

Ultra Slime Ring Lvl 50, Legendary

This ring was forged with Enchanted Steel as a base. It was then given a thin golden layer. The gold has various runes carved into it. The runes stop the core from regenerating. The Core was taken from an Ultra Elemental Slime Ruler. The ring gives its wearer +10 STR, +10 END, +15 WIS, +20 INT, +10 AGI, and allows them to withstand and recover from Abyss magic, but it doesn't make them immune.

"It says Abyss magic?" Asami asks me after I've finished.

"Yeah, any idea what it is? I've never heard of it." I ask and she shakes her head no.

"Ramia or her parents might know. They're on the farm now. They went and got some more seeds for it today." She says and we get up. We head outside and walk to the farm. On the walk, I briefly summarize my encounter with Verona.

"You brought someone who tried to kill you here?" Asami asks as we get to the outskirts of the farm. I can see the figures of Ramia and her parents.

"She didn't try to kill me. She only fought me. Probably to make sure I told the truth. If she had wanted to kill me then Clairvoyance would've shown her blade in my head, not an inch away." I reply and she sighs.

"That doesn't explain why she attacked you." Asami says a little exasperated and I chuckle.

"I think she attacked because she knows I'm a Half-Devil. I think she can see magic, at least in a similar way to Liz. She could probably see my Devil mark in my mana circuits. She was probably confused why a Devil, who was Gaia's enemy, was calling her using Gaia's blood and magic." I reply as Ramia notices us.
