A REAL Hero chooses Gamer's World

Reader pages through many options, but his mind keeps going back to the 'gamer's world' dossier he noticed first, and interesting as many of the other options are, each time he compares them, his mind becomes more and more made up.

"I don't think I need to consider any further" he finally says, setting the dossier aside. "I think the game world is it for me. It looks challenging, but that's kind of... appealing, at least right now".

The twinkle becomes a sparkle. "Glad you're the adventurous type. Good luck out there" and then there's a... distortion.

Reader's first awareness is of having full lungs. His instinct is to inhale, but he can't, so he makes his first cry. A 'hello world' that doesn't come out how he'd intended.

His limbs, even his neck, don't work properly, but he doesn't feel stressed by this, it feels natural. He realises he's been born, that he needs to relearn how to use his limbs. He tries to do whatever he can, kicking his limbs about and getting some more noises out. He also manages to open his character sheet.

Nothing much there of interest besides the debuffs - he wonders how quickly he'll be able to gain experience, what the leveling system is like. But there's not much to do in regards to the sheet now, and he has a whole world to explore. as he was busy, someone put him near a pair of breasts, and he finds he's hungry. A third hand reaches down to stroke the two holding him in place. Reader can't turn his neck to see who it is, but from the callouses he imagines it's his father.

When he next tries to open his character sheet, he finds himself unable.
