A Quick Word About A Small Change

Hi There!

I hope you've been enjoying the story so far and I wanted to just add a quick word about a slight change that's starting today.

Going forward there is going to be a small link at the bottom of each new page to my ko-fi account (https://ko-fi.com/sophiepert) for anyone who generously wants to donate to me. I want to stress that this is completely optional and honestly if you're reading the story that's thanks enough, but if anyone wants to go the extra mile and chip a few dollars my way that is more than appreciated!

I honestly feel a little wonky about adding monetization at all, but the fact is that it really does help. I am a full-time professional writer and while writing this story doesn't take a lot of time out of my day it doesn't take no time at all.

I've tried to keep a high standard in all of my work and in all aspects of it and that takes both time and frankly money. I think a good example are the images at the beginning of each chapter. Those images are created using using paid stock photos and they're not exactly a big expense but I feel that putting those there and paying for professional stock photos helps add a little something extra to the story. And I'd love to explore other options along those lines, but the simple fact is that doing so without having some sort of monetization just isn't a possibility.

That said I really do like writing "My Second Chance" and I'm enjoying my time doing so, with no intentions to stop anytime soon regardless of whether it's profitable or anything else like that. When I start a project I like to see it through to the end, and that applies here as much as it does anywhere!

Anyways, this is quickly becoming a longer post than I'd intended so I'll just try to wrap it up rather quickly.
