I have a BRAND NEW FULL LENGTH NOVEL available now for purchase on Amazon!

"Girl For Hire" is the story of guy who makes a living becoming women to provide companionship for men, who falls for her latest client when he asks her for something she's never provided. She's starting to believe in love at first sight, but is it all real or is he hiding some dark secret?

Thank you and I hope you're enjoying Chapter Eight of My Second Chance!

"Emily?" he says eventually.

"Yeah?" I reply.

"The last time, the other time. The other timeline. What happened to me?"

I shake my head almost immediately, knowing that blind alley is one that we can't go down.

"No," I say, "Not going to tell you something that doesn't matter. That lifetime is gone and you don't need to know it. It'll only... it wouldn't be good to know."

He laughs, making a joke of it, "So I guess all my wildest dreams came true then."

"Something like that," I say bitterly, knowing that I could never tell him the truth.

The group gathers around a statue commemorating the founder of our college. Boy-Kim starts from the beginning, proudly telling us the entire boring story and the minor role his family played in the background. I barely listen because I've heard it all before.

And then the Kims announce that we're breaking for lunch and everyone is to gather back here in an hour and Rachel makes a beeline over to the two of us nearly instantly, brightening up in a way that makes it clear that she'd been faking it for boy-Kim until this point.

"She really is something," Eddie says.

"She really is," I reply, hopeful that maybe our brief time together might have made some progress towards a different and altogether better happily ever after.

Rachel has a way of walking, when she wants to put on a show, that makes it impossible to miss her. She drifts like a feather, sashaying her hips and showing herself in such a manner that she just screams out sex appeal.

She's going all out now, ever inch of her bouncy curves and delight. She makes even me think decidedly indecent thoughts and fuck I've already had it all and still I want more.

Poor Eddie never stood a chance.

"Hey there," she says to me, then to him, "Did you have fun back here in the back of the class?"

"Not the kind of fun you're thinking of at least," I shoot back, "We listened to every single word that Kim said. I've got the whole tour memorized by now. Gonna ace the quiz at the end of this."

"There's a quiz," Eddie moans, truthfully terrified of the possibility.

"Relax, Eddie," I reassure him, "You're good."

"Yeah," Rachel chips in, "You are."

She gives him her most winning smile and Eddie turns crimson, stammering a little and I almost want to give the guy a break but if I can't break his balls a little then what kind of friend would I be? So I let him dangle and I hold out a little longer.
