Chapter 53

Whatever lies ahead will be better than the mad whispers here
A Point of Light. You pry the aperture open with forceps and calipers.
There is a dot.
Two lines intersect on a female body that is also your own. There is a point and you giggle when you touch it. An iron line pierces your heart, and a silken rope covers your breasts. Two more dots and her nipple is stiff when you touch it.
A fleshy needle rises from her bushy sex, a dark metal pointing North. And she snickers as your finger follows her spine. Her lips curve upwards, and all over her face circles and globes intersect, the points of contact shining in brilliant white.
You have gained [3] Wise Words
You now have [{@6 Wise Words}] Wise Words
Then her laughter turns to screams.
You have lost [1] Sanity
Your Sanity is now {if Sanity = 3} 3 – Bad Dreams {elseif Sanity = 2} 2 – Nightmares {elseif@} X – You are not playing {endif}
The skies above are filled with dots, with brilliant stars bleeding truth. A hip bone, a thousand times broken, marks the horizon where it touches her silver hair. Your needle spins wildly and your skin is flensed, bit by bit, from your fleshless bones.
You are now: Sailing, guided by Stars
You wake, screaming – and remembering.
