A Pentoshi Invitation

Aegon Had Been Disappointed A Bit To Be **** Into The Marriage With Myrcella, For He Had Hoped To Wed Lady Sansa, But That Was Not To Be It Would Seem. Admittedly He Was Suspicious Of Robert's Intentions Regarding The Declaration, But He Had **** But To Agree In Order To Avoid Antagonising The Notoriously Prickly Man, Though A Small Part Of Him Was Pleased To Be Given The Opportunity In Spite Of Being Put On The Spot As He Had Been. Aegon Had Taken The Time To Explain The Situation To Sansa, Who While Disappointed, Understood His Position. Aegon Didn't Leave Her With Nothing However, He Offered Her The Chance To Come To Court, Serve As A Lady-In-Waiting To Margaery Or Myrcella, and Learn The Southron Traditions Of Her Mother. Regardless, Aegon Had Been Spending As Much Time As He Could With Myrcella, To Make A Marriage Less Awkward and Feel Less ****. He Had Been Teaching Her How To Speak High Valyrian, After She Mentioned How Her Uncle Tyrion Once Taught Her To Read It, But Never Had The Opportunity To Teach Her To Speak It.

In That, Aegon Had Found His Opportunity To Give Her A Reason To Spend Time With Him Other Than Because He Was The King Or Her Promised Husband. High Valyrian Was Complex, None Doubted That, But Aegon's Years In The Citadel Had Granted Him Degree Of High Valyrian Unusual For Such A Descendant As He. His Studies Enabled Him To Speak It With A Variety Of Accents, From A Thick Ghiscari One, To A Barbarous Dothraki One, Or Perhaps That Of Lys, Tyrosh, Braavos Myr, and The Other Free Cities. His Uncle Oberyn and Of Course Lord Varys Had Helped Him To Perfect The Varying Accents Of The Free Cities They'd Both Spent Time In In The Younger Years, But Aegon Yearned To Travel To The Free Cities, He Felt Tied Down, and Not In A Fun Way.

During A Particularly Cold Morning, Aegon Had Received A Raven, Targaryen Friend and Ally, Magister Illyrio Mopatis Had Extended To Him An Offer To Come To Pentos To Finalise The Deal His Father Had Gone To Seal Before His ****. The Deal Was Important Enough That Aegon Had To Seriously Consider Postponing His Northern Sojourn, and He Was Presently Discussing It With Lord Stark, Margaery, and His Stepmother. "This Deal Could Bring More Food Than We Could On Our Own, Rhaegar Always Said Illyrio Had The Connections and Coin To Feed Westeros Four Times Over and Still Be Richer Than The Other Magisters Combined." Says Lyanna. "Even So, I'm Still Suspicious Of Why Now, I've Yet To Declare Myrcella My Second Queen, Could He Hope To Have Something In That Regard Serve His Interests?" Asks Aegon. "We Don't Have A Lot Of Options Aegon, We Need The Coin and Food This Man Can Provide, You Should Go." Urges Margaery. "I Know, But I Can't Risk The Chance He Seeks To Kill Me If He Had Anything To Do With The **** Of My Father." Says Aegon. "If This Man Can Provide, We Shouldn't Turn Away His Help, At The Very Least You Should Hear Him Out, Find Out The Truth, and Come Back Once All Is Said and Done." Say Eddard. "Hmm, I'll Go To Pentos, But I'll Need Six Good Men To Come With Nym and Tye As My Escorts. I Think We Should Have One For Each Of The Seven Kingdoms." Says Aegon. "I'll Send Robb With You, He's A Little Young, But Seeing The Greater World Might Be To His Benefit." Says Eddard. "That's One." Says Aegon. "I Can Talk Father Into Sending Loras With You." Says Margaery. "That's Two." Says Aegon. "Quentyn Should Go With You As Well." Says Lyanna. "Then I Suppose I'd Best Choose The Remainder For Myself: Robin Arryn, Ser Jamie Lannister, and Renly Baratheon." Says Aegon, Picking Wisely.

Aegon Had Traveled First To The Rock To Pick Up Ser Jamie, Before He Had To Pry Robin Arryn From His Mother's Insane Fingers and Command Her Imprisoned Because Of How She Responded. Afterwards, They Took Ship From Gulltown and Went To Oldtown To Pick Up Ser Loras, Before Travelling Down The Dornish Coast To Pick Up Quentyn and Take Ship To Pentos, But With A Small Detachment Of The Royal Fleet and The Redwyne Fleet. The Journey Would Be Long and Hard, But If The Gods Smiled On Them, They'd Make It To Pentos Quickly and Without Incident.

Aegon and His Companions Had Arrived In Pentos By Ship, and Had Been Greeted By Magister Illyrio and His Children, The Elder Of Whom Aegon Was Immediately Smitten With. His Infatuation Was Curbed By The Revelation She and Her Brother Were Of House Blackfyre's Female Line, The Revelation Of Which Caused Several Swords and A Few Daggers To Be Drawn. Taking Nym With Him As A Personal Guard Because She Was Quicker In Reflexes Than His Sweet Tyene, Aegon Agreed To Go By Litter With Illyrio and His Children. "Before Your Father Died, He Made A Pact Here With Me. One That Would Curb The Rebellious Nature Of House Blackfyre. You Or Your Younger Brother Jaehaerys Would Wed My Daughter Visenya." Says Illyrio. "Really? Because It Appears The Boy and Her Are Already Coupling." Says Aegon, To Which Illyrio Seems Surprised and Immediately Upset With His Children When The Nod Confirmation. "Hmm, Even So, Would You Consider The Match?" Asks Illyrio. "I Would, But Certain Assurances Would Have To Be Given, and The Boy Would Need To Take The Black." Says Aegon. "Then, Let Us Dine In Celebration." Says Illyrio Pouring Wine, and Aegon Only Drinks When He See's Illyrio Drink A Cup Of Wine Poured From The Same Bottle. Now More At Ease, Aegon Feels Comfortable Speaking More Frankly With Illyrio.

Aegon Though Uncomfortable By The Blackfyre's Was Pleased They Gave Him Their Family Namesake, The Sword Blackfyre, and Also That Aegon Would Take Visenya As His Cupbearer To Keep Her Parentage Hidden From The Other Lords For The Time. But Their Was Another Reason For Aegon's Visit, House Targaryen Had No True Army Of It's Own, Sure They Had Gold Cloaks and Bannerman, But They Had No Men Of Their Own To Raise, and Aegon Sought To Rectify This......

How Pray Tell, Does Aegon Rectify This????
