Chapter 16 by kaylaiswicked kaylaiswicked

Do they sleep long?

A New Start

Cyndi awoke alone. She looked over at the clock; it was almost 9. Her head hurt and her body was sore. Was last night a dream? Her still-sticky thighs told the truth. The wife of the new governor looked around the cheap motel room. Her gown was draped over a chair; Becky had obviously picked it up before she left the room. A paper grocery bag was on the small desk. Cyndi got up, walking naked across the room.

There was a note taped to the bag:

   Hi Hon,
    Last night was fun.
Had to leave to get to class.
Thought you could use this stuff from "Lost & Found"
    Come back sometime,
Becky - a little heart was drawn next to the girl's name.

Cyndi looked into the bag. There was a pair of gym shorts, a pair of well-worn sneakers, a pair of sweat pants, and a sweatshirt with the logo of the state college. there was also an assortment of toiletries and a small bottle of aspirin.

"Bless her heart," Cyndi thought warmly of the hot young girl.

Cyndi gobbled down a few aspirin and put on a pot of coffee. While the coffee made, she took a long, hot shower. her head was starting to clear. Walking wet and naked across the room, she picked up the phone. "Hi Dear, yes... I'm fine... too much to drink... stopped by a cop... he was nice and let me go... crashed at a small motel... leaving soon... home in an hour. Yes... I'm sorry... it was stupid... sorry you were worried... love you..."

Her husband had enough to worry about as the new governor without worrying about his wife. Well, it won't happen again.

Cyndi drank her coffee and pulled on the donated clothing. They were baggie and old, but they were warm and clean and much better than the soiled and cum-stained gown. She had no idea what happened to her heels and underwear.

It was a little less than an hour later when she pulled into her driveway. The movers were removing the last of the furniture and belongings; taking them to the Governor's Mansion, her new home for the next four year...or longer. Her husband had already left for his office.

Marcie, her personal assistant, greeted her with a hug. "We were all worried about you. From now on, you use your official driver and car - Governor's orders!"

Cyndi just wanted to crawl off, get some more sleep, and forget about last night. But, as the Governor's Wife, there were duties.

Is Cyndi able to put last night in the past?
