Being labeled as a dyke implied that she was a lesbian, George thought. Right?

He didn’t want to double check the definition by looking it up, especially now that he was sitting right next to Jordan. Not only would that be really uncomfortable to explain if he was caught, but Jordan absolutely hated that term. She’d be pissed that it was her stereotype.

Well, actually, she’d probably be more pissed that I stereotyped her at all, he thought.

Honestly, he didn’t think the term dyke really fit her. Yeah, she was a lesbian, and she had a few masculine traits. She loved her short hair, she enjoyed exercising, especially weight lifting, and was pretty open about her sex life. But when George looked at her, he didn’t really think of that stereotype at all. If the stereotype was similar to how he imagined it, he should be able to notice the change in her.

Though maybe other people thought of her as being the stereotypical dyke, he thought. He had no idea how this damn app worked.

That wasn’t the issue though. Her stereotype implied a sexual orientation, which none of the other types or traits had done.

If a dyke was always a lesbian, wouldn’t that mean that swapping that to someone else would make that other person a lesbian? And if the other person became a lesbian, what would that make Jordan? Would she become straight, or did she still have a sexual orientation outside of her label?

He had assumed that all this would be separate from the trait system, but clearly that was incorrect. So how did it work then? Did the app assume that everyone was straight unless they had a trait saying otherwise? Or was it something else? It seemed dangerous to make assumptions like that anymore.

Then it hit him. This could solve quite a few of his problems, if he was willing to use the app when he didn’t need to.

Despite asking him to babysit Anna a couple times a month, her mother was still suspicious that he would try something with her. It really had been a no win scenario. If he said no she would find a reason to fire him for insubordination or something, and if he said yes then she became suspicious of him, and would probably convince herself that he was coming onto her daughter and use that as an excuse to fire him.

But if he used the app to turn Anna into a lesbian with the dyke stereotype, then that wouldn’t be an issue anymore. The app said Anna had the confident trait, so surely she would come out pretty quickly, and that should remove any suspicion that he would ever hook up with her. Which would prevent him from being fired.

As for Jordan, George doubted she would change too much. He already didn’t think the dyke type matched her very well, and the athlete type probably wouldn’t change any more than the other one. In fact, she already had the athletic trait, so the swap might just remove the dykeness and nothing else.

If the swap made Jordan straight, or at least no longer gay, then great. She had once told him how great he was and how much she wished he were a woman, so maybe that would carry over if she was attracted to men. Maybe he could finally end his dry spell with one of the hottest, and most unobtainable, women he knew.

And if this didn’t work, well, he would know more about the app.

“I need to go to the bathroom,” he said, putting his food and drink back on the table, “I’ll be back in a few minutes.”

“Really dude?” Jordan said, “You’re going to masturbate now? Why didn’t you do that before you got here?”

George blushed heavily, walking quickly toward the door so she couldn’t see his face. “That wasn’t what I was going to, get your head out of the gutter.”

“Come on, I was just teasing you,” Jordan giggled, clearly having seen his blush, “unless that really is what you’re doing. I’m not super familiar with guys, but I thought they needed less time to take a piss.”

“Shut up!” George tried to keep his voice lighthearted, though he felt tense as he shut the door and sat down on the toilet seat. Considering the… potentially sexual nature of what he was doing, the masturbation joke had hit a bit too close to home. His blush probably hadn’t helped. Maybe, knowing how she was, he should have done that before she’d arrived. He hadn’t needed to before, but, well, knowing what he could do excited him.

George got out his phone and set up the swap. Should he really do this? The developer wasn’t forcing him to do this, George had already completed his daily task and the quest didn’t involve a swap. He would be doing this for his own gain and curiosity, nothing else.

But he couldn’t afford to contemplate this for long, not with Jordan waiting. He needed to know how the app worked, this was minimally intrusive, and would solve the very dangerous problem he had with Anna’s mother. He needed to do this.

George clicked the swap button and the customary pop-up appeared.
