A New App

"Come on Eliza! You're the last hold out."

Rebecca grabbed Eliza's phone out of her fellow DZ sister's hand. The gymanast clambored over the couch while three other sisters ran interference against Eliza.

The five of them were relaxing in their sorority's common room. Eliza wasn't a natural blonde and her roots were starting to show. She was about 5'4" with subtle curves. Rebecca was a lithe brunette with a gymanast's body. Olivia was a cute red-head built like Eliza with a look that belied her academic chops. Bella was a mediteranean beauty with auburn highlights and a semi-hidden freaky side. And finally Char was a goth-looking girl who never went anywhere without her choker. None of the girls were larger than a B-cup to the chagrin of some.

"Ok no but give that back!" Eliza scrambled to get around the two girls holding her back but couldn't quite break free.

"Seriously," Olivia grunted as Eliza twisted in her arms, "if you don't participate we'll be the only sorority not in on the challenge."

"Ok fine!" Eliza stopped struggling, "download the goddamn app. I'll join."

All the Greek life organizations on campus had signed on to pilot an app one of the Pi Kap boys, Simon, had developed after he had "dropped out to focus on his career" (been expelled for partying too hard). The idea was to pit different clubs against each other as they completed various tasks and challenges. Rebecca handed Eliza back her phone with the app open and already signed in to an account she'd made for her sister.

"Thanks babe!"

Eliza rolled her eyes and began to scroll through. So far there weren't any challenges, but she could see that the leaderboard had just activated. She really must have been the last holdout. She found a button labeled "START" and pressed it.

A tutorial started up. A soundtrack of white noise started blasting from her phone. She tried to turn down the volume but found herself entranced by a bouncing icon. The screen told her something was loading and gave a spinning wheel to tell her how far to completion. The pulsing wheel bounced back and forth across the screen and her eyes followed. She was dimly aware of one of her friends standing next to her but her attention was fully locked on her screen...

In a blink, the sound stopped. Eliza looked up and saw all four of her sisters gathered around her phone. She waved it in the air: "See? You don't have to look over my shoulder. I'm in."

All five phones buzzed with a push notification: CHALLENGE ACTIVE - GO TO 1056 E WOODWARD.

"Isn't that the Pi Kap house?" Olivia looked at her four friends.

"Yeah, I think so. Shall we?" Rebecca waved and the others all stood in unison.

It wasn't a long walk to the frat house. Anyone looking on would see the five girls walking nearly completely in sync. Rebecca was the first up the steps of the Pi Kap house and rang the doorbell. A brother in linen shorts, boat shoes, and no shirt, leaving his abs on display for the girls to marvel at, answered the door.

"DZ?"

"Uh yeah." Eliza tilted her head. How did he guess?

"Great, come on in and kneel over here." The brother pointed into the frat house's common room.

"Excuse me?" Char was startled by the blasé command.

"Right, sorry. Simon says come on in and kneel over here."

All five girls felt their legs carry them into the house. Groups of girls were kneeling in lines in the common room and they recognized a few faces from other sororities. The five DZ girls found the spot the brother had indicated and knelt like it was the most natural thing in the world.
