Chapter 3 by ARKangello ARKangello

So? Where the hell are you?

A Much Different World Than Expected

The Elemental Nations was one of the most simultaneously prosperous and dangerous places to live in all the realms. On the one hand, Chakra allowed humans to construct great feats of engineering, constructing homes and fortresses with ease, providing infrastructure that was vital in the steady progression of society, allowing the general standard of living to constantly be pushing forwards to the betterment of all. Long range communication, household refrigeration units and many more technological advancements all combined to make this world be well on the way to a truly great society.

But things are never so simple. Where Chakra could be used to build and spread progress, it could also bring terrifying levels of destruction. Tidal waves and Earthquakes, things that in other worlds would be considered a natural disaster causing devastation on truly mindboggling scales... on this earth these were powers that anyone could develop and deploy against their enemies. Every step forwards seemed to be met by another back, as Ninja clans battled for dominance over the many nations of this world, and the people were **** to just endure and hope the next house sized fireball missed them.

But this changed... Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha collaborated to create the first ninja village and for the first time progress seemed to actually be sticking around. Other clans flocked to their banner, or forged their own competing villages, and still there was war and conflict as these new Ninja Villages fought each other for dominance just as the clans before them had... but now they were fighting for something more than just their own survival. Now they were fighting for something bigger than themselves, and that tamed the battles. Now while one step back would still be taken, another two forwards would allow progress to still win out in the end.

In most cases.

There were some scattered clans who rejected this system. And one such clan was the Uzumaki. While nominal allies of Konohagakure, the Village Hidden in the Leaves, through a marriage between Hashirama Senju, the now named First Hokage, and their Princess Mito Uzumaki, Hashirama was not long for this world. Mito showed her loyalty and love for her husband by remaining in the village she had helped build at his side, but as time progressed the relationship between the clan and the village it had assisted founding gradually degraded.

The Uzumaki were a fundamentally stubborn extended family, and were unwilling to give up their independence and submit themselves to the rule of anyone but another Uzumaki. And after his brother's ****, Tobirama Senju, a much more militant Hokage, was less willing to spend the lives of his people defending such distant allies. And so the Uzumaki began to forge a scheme through the use their combined talents in the Sealing Arts, one of the most powerful forms of chakra manipulation and yet also one of the least understood for its incredible complexity. The most simplistic of seals could take weeks of study to perfect to any sort of usable fashion, and such lengthy effort was usually not seen as worthwhile for Ninja **** to live in the here and now, constantly under threat to their very lives.

But Seals taken to their very ****, carefully drafted, redrafted and built piece by careful piece over the course of decades, with the work of dozens upon dozens of sealing masters working with their entire skillset to make sure that absolute perfection was achieved... They were something that transcended the works of mortals, and were truly comparable to the miracles of the gods. And through this method the Uzumaki accomplished their goal. A Sealing Array capable of adjusting reality itself. Why make war, when war could be ended with a flash of chakra? When with a thought and a sliver of power, your enemies could become your devoted lovers, willing slaves, or adoring pets?

There was a singular flaw with this entire plan. The seal was far too powerful. Even though Uzumaki were known for their incredible stamina and Chakra reserves, the seal was made to bind directly to the chakra coils that existed within a person, on both a physical and spiritual level. Not even an Uzumaki's chakra coils were sturdy enough to withstand that sort of punishment. The moment the seal was applied the recipient would begin to burn from the inside out as the seal siphoned their chakra into itself as part of a terrifyingly ghoulish installation process, either incinerating the bearer as the chakra flow became too great for their coils to endure, or draining them dry to the very last drop and leaving only an empty husk of a corpse remaining. Any attempt to filter or repress this terrifying fate just accelerated the process. The Seal was deadly.

They tried anyway. Dozens of Uzumaki attempted to bare the seal upon their body, each of them knowing if they could just survive its application then everything would be worth while. They didn't. They died in droves, reduced to piles of smouldering cinders with only the bare stretch of flesh where the seal had been applied to them remaining, or shrivelling up as if they had been dead for thousands of years and all that time was catching up to them at once, as if the seal was mocking the Uzumaki for their hubris in trying to control it.

Eventually a realisation was reached. There were only two types of people who could successfully survive the application and be able to wield the power of the Ultimate Seal.

The first would be babies, specifically those younger than 4 months. During that time their chakra coils would be at their most malleable and so could potentially adapt to their seal without fatality. But of course, no parent wanted to risk their child. Worse still, what would an omnipotent baby do with that much power? It would be years until they possessed the consciousness and awareness to wield the power for the good of the Uzumaki. Until then would the world just alter to its whims? The damage that an omnipotent infant could do would be catastrophic, and that was without the fear of the developmental process. Object Permanence, the recognition that objects continue to exist even when not within a child's line of sight, did not develop until the 18-24 month mark. Would an omnipotent child without that ability simply delete the world because it wasn't looking at it?

The risk was too great.

The Second option... were Jinchuuriki. Vessels of the Tailed Beasts. The aptly named Power of Human Sacrifice. Jinchuuriki were created from babies for the same reason the seal would work on them. They were malleable enough to endure. But a Biju's chakra was corrosive to a normal human, constantly burning away at the Chakra coils from the inside, while ferocious torrents of power fed into them over and over, forcing their coils to grow and develop to cope. A Jinchuuriki's Chakra Coils would be both larger and hardier from their process. Perhaps the most resilient chakra coils there were given they would have to adapt not just to the volume but also the toxicity of a Bijuu's power. And therefore it was theorised that a Jinchuuriki could endure.

But Mito was lost to them. Too besotted with her dead husband and the village he made, she could no longer be trusted to place her clan over her dead husband's wishes. But she was growing older, reaching the end of her time. And so a decision was made. Kushina Uzumaki would be selected to go to Konoha and inherit the Kyuubi no Kitsune from Mito Uzumaki. She would endure its power, grow stronger, and when her body was finally ready, she would return to Uzu and take on the Ultimate Seal, becoming the one who would defend their clan from the very world itself.

She never got the chance.

Word of the Uzumaki secret project had spread. It had taken decades and so there were bound to be leaks, even if no one outside power had pieced enough together to know exactly what it was. Only that it was dangerous. And so in secret, three Hidden Villages collaborated to launch an **** upon Uzu and destroy the Uzumaki and their secret project before it could ever be used.

It took almost 4 days of fighting, but Uzu was no more. A clan of thousands reduced to maybe a hundred survivors in total who scattered to the winds, most of them the least skilled of the clan who escaped as the mightiest fought back. And those who attempted to head to friendly ground in Konoha were intercepted by their foes on route, the obvious path of escape predicted and ruthlessly slammed shut. And so there remained only a single Uzumaki in the world who knew of the Ultimate Seal.

Kushina Uzumaki was patient. She bided her time. Marrying a strong genius and future Hokage of the village and devoting herself to him completely. But she did not fall prey to the same failings as Mito before her. She always remembered that in truth her loyalty remained to her family first. To the Uzumaki. And she did not forget that Konoha had failed to come to the clan's rescue until it was far too late.

On the night of her children's birth, the Kyuubi was ripped from her, sent on a rampage by an unknown assailant. She lost her chance, as the **** extraction wrecked havoc upon her chakra coils, damaging them harshly. She failed the Uzumaki. But that could be remedied. The Kyuubi was swiftly resealed, split between her triplets, her son and two daughters at the cost of her husband's life. Three new Uzumaki who could take on the legacy. Three chances.

A decision was made. To take them far from the village and raise them in secret. To the people of Konoha she told the lie that this was to keep them shielded from her Husband's enemies, like those of Iwa, who despised the Yellow Flash for his slaughter of a thousand of their ninja in a single battle. Better all think them dead. But in truth, it was so she could raise her children in the Uzumaki way. She could not risk them falling in love with Konoha over Uzu. And so Kushina left with her three children, with the promise to return many years later when they were ready.

"-ko! -to! Come on! Today's the day we get to take the trials!!!" Naruto Uzumaki woke to the sound of his little sister's voice and the feeling of his bed shaking. Slowly he blinked open his eyes, first taking in the sight of his sister Naruko still snuggled into his arms where she had been the night before when he went to sleep. She was practically his female mirror, all blonde and tanned and beautiful. But she was still sleeping for the moment.

"Natsumi?" He asked wearily as he turned his head over his shoulder to look at his second sister. The far more excitable little sister looked almost like Naruko's clone, save for her deep red hair inherited from their mother, and the fact she was considerably shorter than the two of them. They were all triplets, but that difference in height was why it had long ago been decided that she was the little sister, no matter what order they came out in. Not that mom could even remember given everything that had happened that night.

"Get up lazy bones! We've only got 4 hours to prepare for the trial! If we're not ready mom will make us cold noodles for dinner!" She was cute, her cheeks all puffed up in a big pout and her foot tapping away at the floor. Like she could ever hope to be intimidating with such small stature.

"Alright, alright. I'm coming." He said, sliding his nude body out of Naruko's arms. That was of course the trigger for her to awaken and she quickly snapped upright, letting the bed covers fall from her equally naked form, showing off her developing breasts. She was already their mom's size and still going, with a perkiness of youth to her helping her stand out all the more. She could be Tsunade sized some day if she kept growing at the same rate.

"Ugh. Why are you so excited? We've been ready for the trials for years, we're only doing them now because mom was anal about following the age restrictions. I bet we pass this like a breeze." Naruko groused even as she got out of bed and quickly headed for a shower. He let her go first as Natsumi bounced into his lap, her cute butt falling right atop his half hard cock. She blushed a little at the feeling but sat there anyway.

"So Natsumi, you ready to go? Got everything packed?"

"Yeah." She replied nodding enthusiastically. "I'm gonna ace the trials and show Naruko I'm the stronger sister. And then you'll..." She looked up at his face with lust, then ducked her head in embarrassment. "You'll love me more than her then right? And take me as your... wife?"

"Natsumi. I couldn't love you more if I tried." He laughed. "Now we're all gonna ace these trials and come back and show mom just how much we all love her. Today is the day the Uzumaki Clan is officially revived. You better believe it!"

What Happens Now?
