A Morning Arrival

Something awakens you early the following morning.

Your senses, honed by decades of hard living, drag you up onto your feet before you even really know what is going on. After a few moments the answer to what awoke you becomes clear, humans are near your cave.

Moving carefully, with a grace that would not be expected of a being as large as you, you bring the mouth of your cave into view.

In the pre-dawn twilight you can make out a group of four figures. Two of the four are wearing heavy cloaks whilst the other pair seem to be wearing some kind of armour.

As you study the group you get the feeling that the pair in the armour are here to stop the pair in the cloaks from running.

This is all so strange, in your many years you have never seen something like this. You wonder if you should reveal yourself, after all it could be a trap. Yet the memory of the strange experience you had last night looms large in your mind.
