A Moment, Interrupted.

You stand at the entrance to the Tavern speaking with Ashe as many of your Sunriders and Syndicate warriors start to disperse. They end up going their own ways, walking through out the city and setting up camp either along the roads or in some now empty houses.

"That was Ruthless..." Ashe let's out "You could have been killed."

You laugh "Oh Ashe." your hand reaches out and rubs her arm "I know what I was doing, these Syndicate warriors are all so top heavy, very muscular but also extremely slow." you smile at her "I wasn't worried one bit." you nod.

"Still...one misstep, one wrong decision and you would be dead. Think of what would happen at that point."

"And think of what would happen if I just let these warriors who don't respect me just walk all over me."

"Still...should have let me help you. It's not a weakness, that's why you have High Commanders, so we can help you with situations like that."

"Yeah, I understand that. It's just...I needed to do that for me. I believe this army will have more respect for me now. Going forward though, I won't be so careless."

"Good" Ashe turns her head, glaring at you "Because I told Lexie I would protect you, to do what I could to help you out. And honestly, you're making that very difficult for me" she laughs out loud "Between Hawk, Murnic, this Challenge and the soon to be war in Rathkin..." she signs loudly.

"Ahh, you're worrying too much, Ashe!" you throw your arm over her shoulder, pulling her close into your body "Let's not think about all that now, we have a few days to rest here and regain our strength. I'm going to go wander the streets a little bit. Check out the town, make sure my warriors aren't doing what they shouldn't be doing." you say.

"I'll stay here at the Tavern, keep an eye on things here for the time being."

"Enjoy, I'll meet up with you later." you start to walk off back into the middle of town.

"Oh and Darien." Ashe mentions "Don't do anything stupid."

You honestly had no idea what you really wanted to do. You just felt like walking around Murnic, checking out the town. You also wanted to head outside the gates to check on your tiger, make sure she was still doing okay. Climbing up one of the guard towers at the entrances to the town may be beneficial as well, it would allow you to see how far off in the distance you can make out. Scout out your surroundings, make sure you're safe in this town for a few days. You knew you would still have Sunrider patrols outside the city making sure any random traders or warriors would get picked up so you figured you would be safe.

You just really wanted to get some alone time, to think, to process, to just zone the hell out and let your mind rest. Unfortunately, you didn't get very far, only about one hundred feet away from the Tavern a shouting breaks your trance.

"Darien! Hey Darien!!" a female voice yells out.

"Quiet down!" you hear another voice rebuttal "Keep marching!"

"Darien!!!" the first female voice screams again.

"I said shut up!" the second voice, getting more and more angry.

You let out a heavy sigh before turning towards the two voices. A Sunrider with her halberd out is herding three Murnic civilians towards the tavern slowly. The three civilians, an older women, a very young boy and that black haired female.
