A level 50 Mage! That’s the second highest level person to ever kill you. Third if you count that knight you ran into on the road.
** night vision:** as a Fiend, you can see in the dark.
That helps, seeing as you are in a dark room in a dark house on a dark night and it would help so much more if light wasn’t a standard mage spell. Speaking of Mages and seeing, it’s that guy who just walked in. What’s he doing?
Walking around, checking his quest book. Wow, he keeps that keyed to an actual book and not an overlay? Old fashioned you guess. You can see his name over his head.

999 is the level cap. You know because of your Lore Stat.
Special title: Chronicler
Never seen that one before. You think it means they have a fixation on books. Not just spellbooks, all books. Sure enough, he’s taking the dusty books off the bookshelf and putting them in his inventory.
“Never seen this one before! Let me check. Nope, not unique.” He says, repeating himself several times.
Hmm, this gives you an idea.
#1: most monsters can’t write
#2: this man collects rare books
#3: you can write
#4: you have blank books in this weird storage room you live in.
#5: if you write a book, wouldn’t that make it a unique book?
Maybe start with something fast to write. Like a letter.
What do you write
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
