A Kiss, A Promise

At the end of the meal, there was wine. Conversation. Sue Storm asked about Nairobi. She learned about her mother, the father she'd never met, life in New York City with all of its dangers and excitements. The Invisible Woman had never really talked with a civilian about what it was like to live in Manhattan when alien invasions seemed to happen on such a regular basis that the people on the street treated it like the weather. Nairobi had an app that routed her around streets where super-people were fighting. It was almost identical to a traffic route.

Nairobi wanted to learn about Sue. Not her adventures, not her family, but her. For the first time in a long time, Sue Storm told someone else about keeping her pubic hair trimmed so that it didn't show in her costume, the constant dieting and exercise to keep her figure thin, the few moments of her free time when she like to take photos—

In the car, Nairobi scrolled through Sue Storm's phone, looking at the photos.

Sue blushed.

That made them laugh. The car pulled up outside of Nairobi's apartment. The dark-skinned young woman's face drew close.

"I had a really good time tonight," she whispered. "I'd like to do it again sometime. Spend more time with you."

Her lips were soft on Sue Storm's. The kind of tender, intimate kiss that Sue had only known from her husband. Yet she could feel the tension there, the barely-repressed desire.

"If you want," Nairobi said. "Next time, I can show you what the inside of my pussy looks like."

Then the door was open and she was out, running up the steps into the building.

Sue Storm was very quiet on the drive back to the Baxter Building. She couldn't tell Reed about this, but she had to talk about it with someone. What should she do? She felt like she was on the verge of a full-blown affair.
