A Golden Opportunity

“Well that’s it for me No-E, thanks for the show.” Dolla smiled “You two make me proud tomorrow.”

Debbi caught up with Jody after getting dressed. “Hey Jody, Dolla mentioned something about making him proud tomorrow? What’s he going on about, it was just two videos wasn’t it? I thought we were done after today?” “Well…” Jody hesitated, she had been putting this moment off “Dolla talked to his producer and he got us a shot, a 4 track sample including 3 videos. Just a digital release only for now, but if it goes well, we could get a real record deal!”

“But I don’t want a record deal! I’ve told you before, I need to hang up Miz No-E and get back to my life!” Debbi whined. Jody was visibly angry “How can you say that after what you just did?! This is a once in a lifetime chance, and you’re not gonna ruin it for me No-E!” Debbi was torn, it was clearly an exciting opportunity, but not one she ever wanted!

Jody continued her verbal **** “After all I’ve done for you, writing all your lyrics, making you sound good, this is the least you could do! You owe me No-E!” Debbi knew right then Jody had won, she would have to do this, it really was a once in a lifetime opportunity for someone of Jody’s talents. Wasn’t that what she was doing this all for anyway? To help young people like Jody find successful careers like she had done herself?

Debbi shook her head, it was settled, she should have known by now she couldn’t be rid of “Miz No-E” that easily. Like her own lyrics said:
