A Goblin Ambush!

As she runs she takes a faded path as it was the one of least resistance. It was an old dirt road that the Forest has all but swallowed up in the magical growth. Emily remembers this dirt path was a trade route with some kind of problem, but she figures that since it's mostly gone that it must be safe.

Unfortunately for her the road isn't safe, not one bit. Emily starts to walk taking a long breath after all that running but her moment to catch her breath is interrupted by a loud noise in the bushes. Emily turns on the balls of her feet to face the bush Magic Missile at the ready.

Emily stairs at the bush only to feel a sharp pain in her neck, she immediately turns and fires her spell and it hits! She cheers in her head hearing the attacker scream out in pain and pulls out what can only be described as a rough wooden dart dripping both a thin red liquid and pink thicker one. Emily's eyes widen realizing she's been poisoned! but by what she wonders and rushes over to her attacker and off the road just under where two trees meet

Emily sees her attacker in the pale moon light knocked ****, it had green bumpy skin, a long wart covered nose and big green ears that was half the size of it's gnome sized body. It was a Goblin and before she can look to see if there are more she get pounced on by another goblin from the tree tops which takes her down, another one quickly runs over to her and hits her ribs with a club making her groan in pain as another two grab her hands to try and prevent her from using her hands to cast spells
