A Girl and her Rabbit

Chapter 2 by TaleSpinner

Monica had went into the dungeon and was wondering what sort of weird otaku isekai she had been sent into!?! She had been outside having fun with her rabbit when... Well now she was inside of a dungeon taking care of slimes that were burning her skin bit by bit. Her clothes were severely eaten away at by acid, her skin was red or bleeding by all the acidic slimes she had to burn... Her rabbit however had been safe, and whenever combat ended it would return feeling comforted by her presence. There had been so many notifications at first that they had all melted away with the slimes, but now Monica had found her way to some sorta safe area and that seemed... safe...

She dragged herself in and looked ahead with her bunny's heart beating warm, fast, but the bunny didn't want to run away.

"Hello there, I guess I'm your guide..." Monica felt a gentle hand on her head "I always appreciate warm souls who try to protect such innocent life... We'll see how far that gentleness will go."

Monica lifted her head and saw what looked like some elf and then a description came up "Mandrome: Half-Elf, You know those beings known as Elves? The immortal beings that are graceful and completely better than you pitiful humans in every way?!?! Well one Elf decided to take pity... or conquest and had a baby with one of you! Well it's not even half-way to being as immortal as a real Elf, BUT... It's more than your sorry ass will ever become!"

Mandrome said "Congrats on making it this far... I think so far only... 50% of the population that came down here actually made it to a safe area."

"50%... how many even..."

"Don't concern yourself with that now. Just be concerned that you are alive, you are going to have many systems opened right now, and your pet is alive. You have brought something you loved down here... and it's still alive. That is something of praise for now. We'll see how the system sees it" the half-elf uttered. Monica felt like crying and Mandrome had to say "It doesn't matter right now how much was lost. It just matters what you have right now. Your alive, you have a chance... and you have something alive with you right now. You don't have the opportunity to cry, grieve, or do anything but focus on your and your rabbit's survival right now." the half elf sighed "Close your eyes, look into the matrix of spellcraft deep in yourself, and find something called Heal. Conjure it right now!"

Monica feeling so weak just went along with this Isekai half-elf and found it and upon clicking this ability she felt better. Not acid eaten, but... well... Normal... with her muscles overtaxed... Monica wanted to cry.

"Congrats, You put an ability in your hotbar and now... You get to see what lootboxes you managed to get!... I'd offer something nice to eat, but I've just got a few biscuits..." Mandrome said wanting to comfort this lost soul, but obviously she was already overly taxed. Mandrome hoped she'd last a few dungeon floors.

"Sir... it's nice of you to help me with everything in here, but... is there a point to this? I didn't really pay attention to that announcement as things got chaotic fast." Monica asked

Mandrome sighed "Your in a dungeon like in an RPG. You go through the dungeon going through battles and challenges, and find the stairs to go down to the next floor." he then pointed to a screen in the room "In safe rooms and in certain areas of the dungeon there'll be a timer letting you know how long you have to get to the next floor." on the screen currently was 2 days, 22 hours, 22 minutes, "It's usually more than enough time for most people. More than that your goal is probably getting to the 10th floor and immediately getting out of here. That's what I did, and I'm just serving my time till I earn the full way out without having to constantly fight in battles to the death. On the bright side you currently have roughly the same chance of living as most people on the surface do so going in here wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Understood?" Monica nodded with Rabbit cuddled in her arms "Right now... where was I with mechanics? You know what a Hud is right? A heads up display? Your focusing on what's going on in front of you, but if you drift out and think of the game."

Monica had played a first person shooter before and remembered all the things on the edges of the screen and thought about... There was a minimap on the top left corner with dots that symbolized things. Near the bottom was a "hot bar" which had one thing in it presumedly the heal ability. Top right a health bar and what looked like a mana bar, said mana bar was nearly empty. "huh..." she muttered

"Alright, there are a lot more settings you can add or remove but those aren't useful right now. May be better to keep it to the minimum while your getting used to things." Mandrome instructed "Now I'm going to contradict what I just said, and have you use another Hud function. Indirectly though. Like how when you closed your eyes and thought of magic stuff to use the heal spell. Just think of your achievements, You've probably got a few by now."

Monica closed her eyes and thought like a prayer to her achievements and a voice came into her head "Choir Girl: You chose to activate the achievement menu like your praying to god! I'm flattered, but I'm not a god and your not getting anything for this!" Monica opened her eyes a bit disturbed.

"Mandrome I think the system just insulted me." Monica complained

"It'll do that depending on what you did."

Monica sighed and continued her "prayer"... it felt right. "Enter the Dungeon: You entered the dungeon a feat that several million people have also accomplished. Here have some basic starter equipment. Reward: Bronze Starter Box" Then she heard a clank of bronze hitting the floor and her prayer was interrupted. She saw the box and lifted the top to find some torches, rope, and a handful of healing potions. She held one of the torches and asked "How do they expect me to use this without a match or" She noted that the Hud brought itself up on the question with an Ignite prompt on the torch. She activated it barely thinking and then the Torch flared in front of her and she accidentally flung the flaming torch across the room where it landed on a book shelf containing a lot of dry kindling. "Achievement Unlocked: Book Burner! The first thing you did when you got the power of fire was to burn books! That's some dedication to the pursuit of ignorance! Reward: Gold Book Burner Chest!" Mandrome cursing and trying to put out the fire then he stopped as the burning book case condensed into a flaming gold treasure chest... actually flaming.

"How do I open it?" Monica asked

Mandrome just sat on the fire chest and said "It's a rule that all lootboxes can't actually hurt you in any way... technically it's a rule of safe rooms that you can't be hurt while in one and you can only open them in safe rooms, but... If you don't want to physically open it there'll be a prompt that'll make the chests open by itself." Monica saw the prompt and activated it and the flaming chest opened by itself and then a spurt of fire shot out lifting a pair of red sunglasses, and as Monica walked up and stared she got a pop up

"Flaming Sunglasses of the Illiterate: +10 Intelligence, Spell: Pyrobolt, Detriment: Illiterate, all physical writing inside the dungeon will be unreadable to the wearer. Warning: this detriment will not go away if you unequip this item, Benefit: Book Burning, every time you burn a book a random spell gains spell xp. Every time you burn a spell book gain a random fire spell"

Mandrome whistled "That is some serious firepower, but... I suppose I should clarify that when you use a spell book to learn a spell you aren't actually reading the book. I've seen that detriment before and if you live long enough you'll probably find people you can trust and party up with. Also it wont do anything to the Hud or your actual brain, the system will just make all the physical writing nonsense to your eyes. How many more achievements do you have left?"

Monica thought and said "Two more" then tried getting them "So Slimy: You're body has mostly been covered in slime AND your didn't take any non-healable damage. Reward: Bronze Slime box" Then a chest made out of slimy goo appeared she opened it and inside was... Vials of "Slime Lube" She ignored it for now and went for the last one in the queue "Bunny Lover! Aww, it's so sweet that in the chaos the one thing you brought into the dungeon was your loyal pet rabbit! Let's hope it wasn't a mistake, but for being the first and only Adventurer who brought a rabbit in have a... Reward: Legendary Bunny Box!"

Mandrome's eyes widened "That's quite the grade for one of your first boxes. Your odds of survival went up considerably."

"How good is Legendary?" Monica asked

"The grades are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Titanium, Legendary, and finally Godly. Those Sunglasses are around Titanium worth of power but with a serious detriment got downgraded to Gold. The item inside will probably be build defining." Mandrome said

The bunny box looked like a wooden rabbit hutch which Monica opened to find... a bunny suit... Not like a rabbit onesie, but a playboy bunny suit. "Priestess Garments of Lepus: +10 constitution, +10 speed, Benefit: Boob Storage, Inventory getting a little low... Well... You may now store any amount of items in your breasts, said breasts will grow a bit but be supported by the priestess garments to feel weightless. Additionally one living being will be treated as being in your inventory as long as 50% of their mass is in your breasts. Benefit: Lepus' love, If you so choose you may worship Lepus and start as Priestess rank"

"You are going to put on both those glasses and that bunny suit!" Mandrome said

"What!? But it's so..." Monica felt like a stripper if she put both on.

"The constitution and speed buff are BOTH very significant right now especially as stat increases aren't activated yet. Same with the intelligence from the sunglasses. Currently your stats are that of a regular human and you have no way to defend yourself. The Sunglasses will give you a way to fight enemies, and the bunny suit is incredible for defense and evasion. Plus that boob storage benefit will do two things for you. First you can keep your rabbit in there and like all items in your inventory he wont actually take any damage. Plus infinite storage can be really important, many adventurers end up leaving a LOT of good loot and being able to take all of it will put you ahead... and while it may be embarrassing since the bunny suit will take care of the weight of your breasts. Well they only feel weightless to you but they still have mass. Also you wont have to worry about reward items like this melting away into the rags your currently wearing."

Monica looked and yeah... her clothes were barely holding on as they were. She grabbed the sunglasses first and put them on and didn't feel different at all. There was a new spell in her hud that she guessed was pyrobolt she wondered what her stats were and then the stat menu popped up and she had... 13 intelligence, 30 hp, 13 mana...and every other stat was 3 "Wait... if my 3 in speed goes to 13 am I going to be moving 4 times faster?"

"Yes, but let me warn you physics is still a thing. You run fast enough and hit a wall your still taking the impact. Thankfully you also have a higher constitution which will let you take most of those hits. With higher and higher speed your travel time will be shorter and shorter, but your combat speed will be limited because of your reaction time and the chance of getting cut by a sword at 40 miles an hour. Also I'd be careful about worshiping Lepus. Don't know much about that god in particular, but often times getting mixed up in godly affairs can be more hassle then they are worth." Mandrome warned

Monica then took the bunny suit and asked "Is there a changing room in here?"

"Just look for the equip prompt and it'll be put on automatically" Monica did and then her clothes aside from her socks and shoes tore off her as the bunny suit was expertly equipped onto her.

"My clothes!" Monica shouted as she felt... exposed

"They weren't going to last anyways" Mandrome said "I'd probably test that boob storage with those lootbox items. See how it works in practice"

Monica went to the starter chest and started... stuffing items into her chest. She wasn't a particularly busty girl being only a AA in american terms, and the mass wasn't 1 to 1 from items to breast size. However after putting all the items she had received into her boobs She was a respectable C-cup, and when she put her rabbit in it looked semi-plausible.

"Ok, your dungeon crawling starts now. I'll be your trainer from now until the 3rd floor. I'll be in the mentor room in every safe room you come across. Try to use the pyrobolt when you have max mana as much as you can to get spell levels, and if your unsure about something run. You've got a lot of time, but you need to secure an exit to the next floor as soon as you can."

Monica took a deep breath and then ran into the door finding it odd how smacking into the wall at 4 times walking speed didn't hurt as much as she was expecting. Then she walked out to properly learn her speed.

Out in a dungeon wearing what was slightly better than bikini armor and sunglasses. She had arranged her hotlist so the basic heal spell, and pyrobolt were available along with a healing potion. The Torch and rope didn't seem like something she'd need to instantly grab. So now it was time for Monica to start running and yeah it'd take her time to get used to casually jogging between the speed of an electric bike and a somewhat slow car. The dungeon itself was made mostly of cobblestone, the corridors were about 10 x 10 foot spaces that occasionally branched out or had some doors.

Monica came across some slimes and Cast Pyrobolt on one and it took 4 of her mana. She she had 3 casts per fight... since it didn't seem like her mana was regenerating THAT fast. The poor slime that was hit evaporated leaving a core behind... Well probably time to see how her martial capabilities were. She dashed forward a little too fast, passed through the group, and then as she turned around and tried to slow she saw that she had stepped on two of them. Turns out instead of pitifully stomping on them, high movement acceleration plowing through or ontop of something had a lot more force. So she practiced running over the slimes and trying to get proper control while looting some. They just gave some gold and "Slime Cores", but she did notice something when one latched itself onto her. Instead of the burning corrosive feel they now felt... Tingly. Like she could just ignore it for awhile if she really wanted to but she didn't in fact she was able to just reach her hand in and pluck out the core. Monica may have felt like a whore, but she was pretty powerful. She ran down the hall some more, spotted a lone goblin, hit the goblin in the face with a pyrobolt and then ran up and punched it in the face at 30 mph. said goblin seemed to be a scout as there were now a lot more of them in the next area.

"Pyrobolt! Pyrobolt! Pyrobolt!" she spammed at 3 of the goblins, then used her new technique "Dash Punch!" She had gotten better at regulating her speed and figured out how to sprint for half a second and then let the enemy's mass slow her down enough not to crash into a wall. This left 3 out of 5 goblins charred and beaten to death... the 4th grabbed her punch and then punched Monica in the face. Both took damage, but the goblin was still up and looked really annoyed. Monica had also taken some damage, a little, but... She knew she'd have to be careful even with her stats. If she just charged into a crowd she could still get pinned and get chipped away to death. Also some of these monsters had some combat skills and would see through a lazily repeated attack... that said she only had the same basic attack. Dash in and make contact somehow. So she tried a kick! stumbled, and the "Dash kick" turned into a "Dash flailing tackle" half a second later Monica checked her health and it went down more than when the goblin hit her. Mandrome was right about her hurting herself at high enough speeds. The last goblin had ran leaving Monica to loot and run off elsewhere.

Elsewhere a group of 3 friends were behind cover as they were taking on a camp of goblins who were occasionally throwing ripped out cobble chunks or firing arrows. So far the three friends Mark, Clarice, and Stewart looked like a traditional rpg comp. Mark as of some warrior type with a breastplate and a katana, Clarice as a Witch with a wide brimmed hat and a few spells, and Stewart as an archer thanks to his Bow and quiver with unlimited "regular arrows" Stewart was trying to take pot shots, Mark hacked at any that got too close before retreating before he got pelted with too many rocks and arrows... and Clarice was waiting to let some magical bolts out every few minutes. The three had complained enough at the start of the engagement, but now just had some basic dread as in the middle was a large 10 foot pig of a goblin with a giant battle axe. They couldn't quite run as if they did they'd get pelted with too many projectiles, but they couldn't get in and advance or the giant goblin may decide they were too much of a threat and actually DO something. They were all behind cover when they heard a *Smack* and then a girl yell in pain for a second. The two peaked out slightly as they saw the Giant Goblin's health bar lower by maybe 15% or so, but they didn't see a girl or... Then the girl zoomed passed again and smacked the Goblin in the leg before zooming off dealing like 5% of his hp.

"Your seeing what I'm seeing?" Stewart asked

"Some lucky bastard became a speedster and is running in and out to take pot shots?" Mark asked

"...That and she's wearing a bunny suit" Stewart added

Clarice said "I think we've got a shot to cause more trouble and help finish this fight!" The three looked at each other and nodded as the Giant Goblin was looking around for the girl who was now running around rapidly to try and pot shot random goblins in the area with her speed.

This mostly meant the Mark went up as Stewart spent less time in cover, and Clarice... Still was waiting for more mana to cast spells. Monica better saw the other humans and tried focusing on trying to take down the Giant Goblin. Monica could just tell if she got hit directly by that battle axe she'd lose something. It was so large, heavy, and tore up the ground a bit when it landed but... it was slow... the giant goblin was slow. It was so telegraphed and she was fast enough that she just had to not get greedy and it was going down. The other humans were dealing with the fodder and doing well! If only she could do a sprint punch/kick without her bones fragmenting and needing a healing potion. Still a few cycles of punching and running and with the last running punch the Goblin's HP went to zero... Monica felt like she needed to catch her breath... and the Goblin was going DOWN. Monica was stumbling a bit a little overexerted when a random goblin corpse slammed into her from the side and pushed her enough for her to move and stumble out of the way. Monica was stunned and looked in the direction as a guy with a breastplate and a Katana was jogging over... He had chucked a goblin corpse into her to get her out of the way.

The encounter ended a "Winner!" announcement hit the four adventurers and they were all grouping up as Stewart says "Looting rights for the boss go to the bunny girl right guys?" They all nodded

Monica was piecing things together as she got the prompt for looting and got the gold, a "boss soul", and the "Fucking Giant Rusty Axe" wouldn't fit in her normal inventory. It seemed like it could be useful but... "Warrior Sir? Can you lift that axe?"

Mark went over to try to wield it and he could kinda move it like one would move a small log. More dragging it. "No, I can't use this thing... and yeah this wont fit in our inventory."

Stewart said "A shame, as you get stronger having that thing could mow down a lot of things."

Monica blushed a bit as she took out her rabbit Ame and asked Clarice "Um, miss could you hold my rabbit Ame for a second... and archer sir? could you look away for a bit? I may have a way to carry it to a safe room but... it's a bit embarrassing." Stewart turned around as Monica went to the battle axe head first and tried to see if this would even work... She moved her cleavage into the blade and didn't feel the metal. Now that she thought about it she hadn't felt Ame's little furry body between her cleavage much. Looking down the large blade seemed to be warping into the cleavage. There must be several small rules to this, but... she tried pushing herself more into the battleaxe as more of the blade was warping into her cleavage as her C-cups rapidly became D-cups, E-cups... "Warrior sir, could you... shove the rest in?"

Mark blushed at the phrasing especially as he was shoving this wooden pole into her growing breasts. He did as her breasts swelled ending as the giant 7 foot long battle axe with a particularly large metal head had more than doubled her breasts to G-cups and it felt like her bunny suit was barely covering much of her breasts at all, only holding on due to some weird magic. Mark and Clarice stared. Stewart asked "are you done?"

Monika covered her chest and said "Yes" and Stewart turned and her change was obvious considering Monica was trying to hide her enlarged breasts.

Stewart looked around then asked "Does she have a Treasure Chest?" Mark and Clarice gave him a slap as Ame went back into her owner's boobs and they started talking as the 3 friends led the bunny girl to a safe room.
