Chapter 13 by Funatic Funatic

Which demon is it going to be?

A Fiend.

“I will summon a fiend.” Aelana hits her forehead while Analea lets out a sigh as Uklag makes a X next to Incubus as well. “You are impossible, that is impossible.” The redhead says, her tail thrashes around in anger. “You are already pretty much dead, why make it even worse?”

“Didn’t I tell you that I will always go for the glorious thing if put before a choice when we first met?” Uklag says with his usual smile. “Besides, absorbing an Incubus would boost my sexual prowess, but I don’t think I need that. A Fiend on the other side has a way stronger body and would boost my magical capabilities by so much more.”

Analea sighs again. “I know that you humans base your magical strength on the power of your bodies but I still ask you to think about it again, Master Uklag.” “I hear you, but I don’t care.” He says. “Ignoring the general things for now, let’s get the specific preparations in order.”

“A Fiend Lord is the most summoned Demon Lord, as their destructive capabilities are the highest. As such numerous names and their respective rituals have been found out throughout the ages. So which one of these shall we use ladies?” Uklag asks and shows them a list of a dozen names that he has filtered out already.

“Harkar? Why would you even put him on that list, he is as close to an Arch Demon as one simple hellspawn can get.” Uklag looks surprised, “Really? He is described as pretty puny though. Like really, a dwarf with wings that takes out only half of a fort before disappearing.” Analea chimes in. “Yes, half a fort in under two hours before his summoners didn’t have any more energy to sustain his presence in this world, Master Uklag.” Uklag takes the ink pen and crosses the name of the list. “I may be a megalomaniac but I am not suicidal.” He says at questioning looks of the twins. “Seeing that human knowledge is obviously flawed, which one of these is more acceptable?”

They both point at another name. “There, Krutzkr he is about the weakest Fiend Lord in existence, which only makes him EXTREMLY likely to kill you, instead of with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY.” The name is quickly crossed of the list as well. “What? Like I am going to choose the weakest one, where is the fun in that?”

“Fine then, take him.” Aelana points at the name at the bottom of the list. “Jalkal?” Uklag asks. “Why him? He is described as one of the cruellest Demon Lords to ever wander this realm.” “Well, he is. But he also scores in the middle of the Lord tournaments, Master Uklag.” Analea answers.

“Hold that thought, you have tournaments in the demon realm?” The twins smile and a dreamy look crosses into their faces. “Well, the Fiends have tournaments, the Succubi and Incubi have more of a competitive orgy.” Uklag raises an eyebrow. “And Imps do stupid shit like build towers out of their own bodies or what?”

To his surprise there is no answer to that. “Please tell me that I’m wrong.” He says. Still no answer. “Well, great now I have lost my last bit of respect for those little beasts as well.”

He encircles the name Jalkal and turns a few pages. They each contain names and illustrations of a particular demon. a collection of the different books Uklag has read. “Whatever, let’s see what we have to get to summon him. Okay, sacrificing a few souls, human or otherwise, should be doable. Chanting for three hours, not gonna be pleasant but maybe I can get someone else to do that. Pentagram to be drawn with the blood of rats, the irony is not lost on me. Candles with certain incense. Burning of sentimental objects…” Uklag looks at his staff. “Nah, I will take somebody else’s, oh wait there is more – of the main summoner, well shit, Immortality better be worth it.”

“Why do you like that much about that piece of wood anyway? I mean you even refused to have sex with me in favour of transmutating that thing.” Aelana says, “That piece of wood is the only thing I could call my own for ten years, you will treat it with outmost respect.” Uklag says with a playfully stern tone.

“Whatever, anything else?” Uklag reads the rest of the paragraph. “Have four people of the opposite sex from the main summoner offer their souls willingly in his name, note that the souls will not actually be taken, unless the sacrifices are unsatisfying. Guess that’s about the symbolic value or some crap.”

The succubi nod, "“Indeed, symbolism is very important for us demon’s.”" They rub the rings as they say that. A third one glances at Uklag’s finger, he has made it together with the treasury. “Well then, rats can be caught, candles can be made, sticks can be burnt and chants can be spoken but people need to be broken first.”

He closes the book and leaves the room.

What awaits him outside?
