A Feat of Flexibility

Debbi wanted to protest, but for some reason the words wouldn’t come. Perhaps she should have taken a closer look at that pill Carol had given her before tossing it back, she really wasn’t feeling herself she thought. She could only imagine how foolish she must look, stumbling around as Diane dragged her by the wrist across the party like a petulant toddler. Then a small mercy, they came to a halt, apparently finally reaching their destination.

Upon their arrival Angela was busy chatting with two smartly dressed men whom Debbi did not recognize. Debbi was immediately self-conscious, while Angela was dressed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz (or maybe the Wendy’s mascot? Debbi couldn’t be sure.) the two men were professionally garbed, obviously corporate she thought. She squirmed and tried to wrestle her hand away from Diane’s grip, feeling so childish dressed as she was next to these men from corporate in their business suits.

“I see you’ve already been hitting the champagne pretty hard there Debbi?” remarked Angela watching Debbi squirm. Again Debbi wanted to speak up, but nothing came out. Angela proceeded with the introductions “Diane & I attended graduate school together. Oh, and this here is Debbi, she’s an IT worker.” “Team Lead!” Debbi interjected. Another small victory was won when Diane finally released Debbi’s hand in order to shake hands with the two corporate suits.

“Angela, you just have to see what Debbi just showed me and I’m sure you gentleman will enjoy the show as well!” Diane was barely able to contain her excitement. “Oh? And what does Debbi have to show that’s so awe inspiring?” Angela replied. “Go on Debbi, show them!” Diane demanded with a grin. “I can’t do another toe touch!” Debbi complained “I’m all light-headed from you dragging me all the way over here so fast, I’m liable to end up flat on my bum!” “It’s just as well.” said Angela “I doubt Debbi capable of something like that anyway.” Debbi was steamed. “Aw, come on Debbi!” Diane coaxed “They need to see how high up your legs go!” “Tell you what” she continued “Why don’t you just show them a few high kicks from a standing position. That way they’ll see everything they need to see, and you won’t be at risk of crashing on the landing?”

Debbi was unsure why she was negotiating doing any demonstration at all, but she did want to prove Angela wrong, and this compromise seemed fair enough to prove her flexibility and athletic prowess. So Debbi took a deep breath and kicked as high as she could. Way up went Debbi’s leg, and with it the front of her skirt. Angela and the two suits certainly were “seeing everything they needed to see” as Diane had put it, or more like everything Debbi had to offer! The two men looked quizzically at Diane, who in turn made a gesture to indicate Debbi was drunk, an explanation that seemed to satisfy them as they turned their attention back to Debbi. Who for her part gave a couple more of her best kicks each time flashing her charms, confirming to the men that they weren’t in fact dreaming.

Debbi wore the brightest smile as she was once again beaming with pride. Far more satisfied with Angela’s slack-jawed expression of disbelief, then Diane’s disappointing reaction from earlier. Angela regained her composure and pulled out her cell phone camera. “Give me one more kick Debbi, real nice and high! People won’t believe this!” Debbi put on the biggest smile and proudly obliged. The resulting photo was priceless Debbi wearing a huge smile while baring all her womanly charms to the camera. Angela could not be more pleased.

Before she knew what was happening, Debbi was once again being pulled by the wrist, but this time both of the as Angela & Diane each had hold of an arm and were leading Debbi forward towards a small stage. “Come on Deb, everyone’s gotta see this!”
