A Dyad Split, A Nereid Tamed? (3rd Round TF Result Chapter)
"Now, we come to one of the most dramatic questions," The demon announced through a screen where Jamina and Kei Winters were, "how Kei Winters will return to Earth! With a resounding 68% of the vote, Guardian of Life, Bringer of Magic was the winner!"
https://strawpoll.com/ajnE1qPdAnW/results
This was it. Jamina was going to be completely altered to sever any remaining relationship with her life as Winters, and anything left was going to be taken by Kei Winters. At least that woman wouldn't be molesting kids anymore. Would she even get to keep her memories of being Winters? Or would the demon excise those things as unnecessary distractions to her intention to turn Jamina into an elf? But all of these questions were brushed aside when she heard the demon mutter an incantation. She caught one word from the demon's mutterings on the other side of the screen: "Lightbringer."
That word concluded the spell, because a powerful beam of light, colored green and white, launched from the screen to hit Jamina. For a time, she was blinded by the light, unable to see anything, and all the while, her mind was overwhelmed by the details. Knowledge of the life of a woman named Jamina Lightbringer, a High Elf who had been alive for centuries. It was very early on in that extremely long life, when the place that raised her considered her to be little more than a child, that she chose to learn how to defeat the many dark forces that haunted her world. Such a quest was beyond the place that had raised her, for despite their great potential in magic, and many other fields, they were usually isolated from the wider world. So she sought out many teachers in the wider world who knew very well how to fight, but she soon found that mere personal combat was a waste of her talents.
The real lesson began with generals, both human and otherwise, who taught her how to lead armies, something her great beauty, and very presence, could inspire, because Jamina was a High Elf. A creature so beautiful that she often seemed divine to those around her, and so commanding in presence from the other gifts of her culture that if she sought to raise an army for a campaign against an encroaching foe, she would be obeyed without question. Next came the lessons in courtly intrigue from human nobles, and others in power who appreciated what she wanted to do, but found her approach hopelessly naive. It was from them she learned how to protect herself from those tainted by evil and otherwise who'd manipulate her to their own ends, and how to convince even the most cynical of the need to fight her world's encroaching doom. With such power in the realms of warfare and politics, she sought to then learn how to find the target she wanted so badly to destroy. That was what lead her to the most important part of education, which was how to use magic. For it was her skill with magic that defined everything about her new life, including why she had the last name of Lightbringer, as it referred not to her family, but to the role she embodied in the world she came from.
Jamina was taught two schools of magic by teachers who were some of the most important people in her new life. The first was a paladin named Samuel, who she had sought how to learn how to spot evil, but had taught her so much more than that, such as how to bless troops so they could stand toe to toe with the greatest of demons, how to purge the greatest of corruptions, including those of the mind, and how to smite evil from the world she tried so hard to protect. It was a school with many names, such as Light or Heavenly magic, but none of them quite described what the paladin focused on. For all of his knowledge with magic though, he was never as good at as she was, and that had doomed him. Despite having only known it for minutes at most, and it being about a man she had never truly met, she began to cry from the memory how he died. He had realized, in the process of being called a tyrant, that a demon he thought had defeated was instead corrupting his body and his very thoughts. It was a threat that she would've been able to defeat through her stronger magic, but that he couldn't. Yet, he had the wisdom to seek her out, and the conviction to tell her to kill him, along with the **** of will to overcome all her attempts to avoid the inevitable. Samuel had made her promise to destroy his body, and that... that was when she went to her second teacher.
The second was a druid who refused to share her name, preferring to be known by her skills, or that she dwelled deep in the woods. Jamina hadn't sought a teacher, but rather a way to destroy Samuel's body that would honor his sacrifice. It was then that the druid taught her was how to give a body to nature in such a way that any taint of corruption, no how matter how strong, or driven into the body, would be eaten away through the right rites. In addition, how such a burial would make any ****, no matter how horrible, a wellspring of new life through what was given back to nature. It was that lesson that was the foundation for the rest of her time with the druid. At first, they built on the lessons of her first teacher, through learning how to heal the most horrific of injuries, and how to yet further strengthen those under her command through nature's many gifts. But those teachings inevitably gave way to deeper lessons on how to be in tune with the world around her, and, from that, how to make allies of the most violent of beasts. This new school of magic, the magic of Nature, proved to the perfect complement to her initial teachings, and it through her mastery of both that she had earned the title of Lightbringer.
These memories didn't remove her prior memories, but displaced them as her primary identity. Her prior life felt like a dream that was glad to be woken from. She knew she used to be a foolish man who despite having the best of intentions only brought harm to those around him, and was too scarred by what happened to his father to know any better. He was the kind of person she had killed or worse in her new life many times. Yet, this separate life was not dead, for it was still the origin of who Jamina was. Even though she shared neither a first or last name with the man any longer, she knew the reason she had become an elf was because of his failures. But it was a strange realization, as it sat alongside the knowledge of that her time as Lightbringer was very real, albeit from a world they were not in.
In all of this recollection, Jamina Lightbringer didn't notice her body change. The moment her hair became a golden blonde, despite being long enough to pass in front of her eyes, went without notice. Nor did the moment her breasts went up several sizes, or when she went up several inches in height come to her notice. It was when the light left her eyes and she stumbled around in her new form that she realized where she was... and what she was wearing. A simple, and quite thin, robe was all that covered her body. What would've brought her great embarrassment before was something she didn't mind at all as an elf. After all, the druid was naked all the time, and only wore clothing when demanded by the elements. Meanwhile, modesty had done nothing at all to save Samuel from demonic corruption, nor had care about such morals done anything to save others from demons in her world.
"Excellent Jamina, you can go," The demon revealed while a door opened for her. "By contrast Kei Winters, we are just getting started with you..."
Kei Winters had watched the transformation that happened to Jamina with astonishment. It should've been a moment of triumph but for the first time in the bunker... she felt something else. Seeing the confidence with which the elf carried herself, and her utter lack of care about how exposed her new assets were to those around her gave Kei pause. Any power she had over this elf was long gone, as she no longer access to the woman's memories, and even she could see the magical nature of the person who used to, long ago, be Winters.
"Kei Winters, you will no longer teach teenagers," The demon continued. "Instead, you will be the one who through an experiment, brought magic to your world. After all, you can't just create a portal to another realm without altering the world you yourself reside in."
It was with that single statement that a flood of new memories entered Kei Winter's mind. How she had obtained a level of science and mathematics that allowed her to alter reality itself, albeit on accident. Her sights had once been on something as limited as unifying quantum physics and classical physics into a unified theory, but had become much grander once the full implications of what she had done came to fruition. Magic, really, was just a **** that allowed exceptions to physics as previously understood, the most potent of which was the ability to create something from nothing. If humanity could harness that power, and gain an understanding of it like it had gained of mathematics and science... anything could be accomplished.
The rest of the memories flowed from that fundamental realization. Kei Winters used her early discovery to get key patents that made her very wealthy, which in turn allowed her to setup a plethora of investments to continue that wealth generation, and to pour resources into R&D. Magical phenomena was to be catalogued, magical materials studied with every possible instrument, magical creatures were to be captured and dissected, and so on. It was through that knowledge that they started to build machines that could utilize magic, which not only made Kei Winters fantastically wealthy through military contracts, but had given her a level of power that even governments feared.
As for what she did with that power? Some of it was like her prior life, with many young men gone through as assistants. Other such selfish uses had been figuring out how to give herself a truly amazing body, and a couple thousand years of extra life. But, Kei Winters also in this world had grander ambitions, such as tanks and cities that flew through the air, limitless supply of once expensive metals like platinum, and most of all... the conquest of **** itself. Some of these ambitions were starting to be realized, such as with her own life extension. And as for the rest...
Kei Winter's train of thought was interrupted by a giant portal opening next to her. "You are free of the harem Kei Winters, and you have an empire to run on Earth. Well, until someone stops you anyway, but that won't be for awhile now will it?"
That caused Kei Winters to smile, and walked towards the portal. Right before she left though, she decided to give everyone a parting farewell. She turned around, and flashed the direction she thought Felix might be watching from. After exposing her massive, perfect breasts, she said, "Just remember Felix that the key to getting the best result for everyone is to do what you want to do anyway..."
"Next we come to our dearest nereid," The demon said while appearing on the water above the nereid again. "Who I chose to do earlier than planned so as to use my one veto on her, as the two choices for Castelilise were only off by a single vote."
https://strawpoll.com/B2ZB9bxrBgJ/results
"Thereby, the nereid shall get a combination of two transformations," The demon continued while striding on the water's surface that Castelilise swam beneath. "The winners, with my veto, are Harem Acceptance, and Kiss of Oxygen!"
Two transformations wasn't what Castelilise expected, but she was pleased to get one of them. The ability to through just a held kiss let Felix join her under the waves was a most excellent change. It was frustrating to have to spend BP to get the more useful effect of letting him breath underwater, but she was sure that wouldn't be a huge issue, assuming the demon didn't make it outrageously expensive. However, the other transformation was a different matter altogether. Changing how she viewed being part of a harem, and therefore tied down to one man, was not what she signed up for. Sure, she got a benefit out of it, but it was still frustrating to have the monstrous libido of a nereid, and only be allowed to play with a handful of other people in her whole. She was the type of being who could fuck entire villages, why did she have to be so restricted?
But then the transformation started. The demon said something above the water that Castelilise couldn't hear, and the sound became a wave in the water that hit the nereid before she could react. Upon being hit, no physical change occurred, but instead, a barrage of emotions relating to different members of the harem erupted in her. The sexiness of Felix was emphasized in her mind, so as to soften, if not eliminate, the downside of being confined to one man. Other women who were open to having sex with her got... re-evaluated. Was Cammy bisexual from graduating? What it would be like to play with Noah and her new slime? For that matter, whatever happened to Jamina, the nereid was sure she had been bisexual by one of her prior transformations, and that wasn't going to be undone. Heck, as authoritarian and full of herself as she was, Janessa Smith was attractive.
The last caused fantasies to enter Castelilise's mind of somehow overpowering the angel, and despoiling the apparent beacon of purity. Janessa Smith needed to learn her place, and if the nereid was going to be stuck in a harem against her will, she might as well get to take advantage of bad behavior from other members. These thoughts, about all the members of the harem, were so distracting for the nereid that she almost didn't notice when a hole opened up that gave her a way out of the enclosure. As she swam out, she considered how the main impact of the transformation had been to make her give a second look at her existing options, rather than trying to overwrite her want for more options. That was indeed a much better direction than it could've gone, and almost made the nereid grateful, until she remembered the transformation was probably manipulating that about her as well. Even the power of Harem Hotel couldn't get her on board with her situation that much...
Once again, Vizrokoth took a pause, but it was to adjust things for a different contestant. Jamina Lightbringer would hate living in a concrete bunker, and some plants in the hydroponic garden wasn't going to cut it. The high elf would demand both proper access to nature, and a place befitting the person she was. This was no matter that'd be fixed by just putting more house plants in a more luxurious bedroom, but a complete redesign of the place that Jamina slept in, and thought given to how the master suite would change when, hopefully, the high elf reached 100 VP. So the demon got to work redesigning both, and adding various details to the rest of the bunker.
First up came the most significant redesign in Jamina Lightbringer's new bedroom. Every concrete surface was either replaced with polished stone, covered in magical engravings to give it equal strength to the reinforced concrete it was replacing of course, or with literal dirt. The bed was replaced with a massive hammock strung between two short, but very wide trees with leaves so large that they acted as additional blankets for the hammock. All electrical lighting was removed and replaced with a mixture of candles, and the strategic use of fireflies stuck in glass containers at key locations. Finally, a massive amount of plants were put onto every possible surface, so that other than the engraved walls, one would think they were in a forest at night, or one so dense with life that the sun just couldn't pierce through the canopy.
Next came the rest of the bunker. Throughout, cracks were allowed to form in the concrete, and within those cracks erupted out vines. This sprinkling of plant life wouldn't make up for the concrete and harsh electrical lighting, but it would ease the effect, along with introducing the idea to the both elf and the nereid that nature could reclaim even this artificial of a place if they were willing to help it along. In addition, hallway lighting was, where possible, replaced with torches or candles, both to reduce the harshness of the lighting, and to make it more natural. The hallway leading up to the master suite didn't get such an upgrade, especially given a room that was going to unlock there soon, nor would the interiors of any rooms outside of Castelilise's, but at least the thoroughfares would be less exhausting for the high elf.
That at least brought the demon to the issue of Felix's room. As a teenage boy raised on Earth in its 21st century with no exposure to magic, and little love for the outdoors, Vizrokoth knew it wouldn't be easy to get him to go along with Jamina's new preferences. Deciding that integrating nature into the master suite was a move too far for the moment, she instead chose to emphasize the other half of the High Elf: Her status. Polished stone with engravings replaced the concrete walls and ceiling, softening the harshness of the room. In addition, art from Jamina Lightbringer's new world was put into the master suite, such as a massive painting depicting an important battle she participated in hanging above Felix's bed, and a statue of a famous elf from her world was placed at the foot of his bed. Finally, she replaced the carpet of the room with a single gigantic rug that was fur from a great beast slain in her world. Such a display was grizzly to some, but actually fit well with what the high elf expected, as while she loved nature, that included utilizing the animals in it, not just protecting them.
Satisfied with her changes for the moment, Vizrokoth got back into place, and resumed the show from its short commercial break...
