A Dream?(Bad End)

Your eyes narrow as you get closer to the Salamance, your body surrounding with electricity as it surges around, striking at various areas around the cave. You gritted your teeth, thinking about those you care about and who're with you in this battle, about how they're in danger and your desire to protect them. You generate even more electricity around you, but it doesn't still get focused into a cone shape charge like how a proper Volt Tackle is supposed to be. You decided to forget about perfecting it. So what if it's not a perfectly performed move, it should still be able to do great damage to the Salamence and the others will have enough time to recover and finish him off as you leap into the air to collide.

Your plan was dashed as your eyes started to widen just as the dragon opens his mouth wide. You were worried that you were going to charge headfirst down the dragon's throat before noticing purple draconic energy starting to surge around the open maw. Fear started to overtake your eyes as you're caught in the middle of your attack, unable to dodge or even defend yourself as the Salamence roars out, his dragon breath enveloping your form. You struggle to push through the beam, but it was too much and you were blasted back. Colliding the wall of the cave as you slid towards the floor, having been knocked ****.

“Rai!” Rachael cried out as she struggled to stand up.

Hearing her cry made the Salamence turn towards her and the others. She and everyone were still a bit dazed from the earlier attack and weren’t completely up. The Buneary dreaded at the large dragon approaching them and desperately fired an Ice Beam towards him. The infected hissed in pain and stumbled back. He then let out a loud roar as his body suddenly started glowing orange. The light them spread out, all over the cave, covering the entire roof with an orange glow. ‘Draco Meteor!’ Rachael thought, recognizing the attack from descriptions she heard before. Before the others could do anything, various orbs of orange light started raining down all over them. Try as they might, they couldn’t dodge them all and various explosions sounded throughout the cave.

Outside the cave entrance, Kate tried to peek through the entrance and was blinded by the orange light barrage. When she felt the light fading and moved her arms away and gasped in horror at the sight. Everyone, including her brother had been knocked unconsciousness by the infected Salamence.

"H-How can it be so strong?" Kate asked herself fearfully, pondering whatever to do before she felt a presence behind her.

You gritted your teeth as you look and saw that all of your companions have been struck down by the Salamence who let out a loud roar in triumph. You were going to try and get up when what happened next left you confused. The infected Salamence started to glow once more before a blinding light flashed for a moment before vanishing, with the dragon with it.

"Wh... What happened?" You muttered as you tried to stand up, only to manage to get on one knee.

You did noticed that your sister was floating towards you. "What the? Kate?" You struggled to stand up and move to her, but only got a paw forward before collapsing onto your knee once more. Thankfully, Kate was placed in front of you, fast asleep, but unharmed. You let out a sigh of relief in response to this, but you looked up and saw a figure in front of you. The same who came and asked for your help. "You...?"

Before you can continue speaking, the figure placed a paw in front of you and a light shown in front of you. Before everything went white, you caught a glimpse of multiple tails behind the figure.

"Rai!" A familiar voice spoke out and you blink suddenly.

You look and saw that you were standing in the forest area. You see all of your companions with you, staring at you in confusion.

"Wh-What's going on?"

"What do you mean what's going on? We're nearing the village when you suddenly stopped moving." Felix pointed out.

"Huh?" you asked, feeling like this is quite familiar, like this had happened before. You try to think about what happened, but nothing comes to mind.

"Are you alright?" Rachael asked, patting your shoulder.

"Do you need to rest?" Kate asked, showing concern.

"It's... It's nothing. Come on, let's get going." You stated, though you feel like you've forgotten something important. He sighs as he walked onward with the others, unknowingly passing a figure hidden within the trees, watching them with a look of disappointment.

"A shame... I thought they would be the one..." the figure thought before vanishing.

At the village, the area looks ransacked. Huts looking damaged, a few being destroyed. You and the others looked around for a moment, but no one found anything about a soothsayer staying here.

"Like I said, I've been here before already. I haven't found anyone inhabiting here or anywhere around here, let alone a soothsayer." Felix stated.

"Maybe he/she had already left... or maybe something bad happened to him/her." Vargus stated. "So now what we'll do?"

"I mean, maybe we'll figure it out if we keep going. Maybe find another who'll know about this." Neku suggested.

You looked at your sister and thought of everything that happened before you spoke out. "A-Actually..."

And that's how my tale came to an end... I thought I was more capable than I really was. The ordeal I went through in a single day, the dangers, the ****, the stress of worrying about losing my life or my sister's pushed me past my limit. Following where Vargus showed me, we crossed the river and made it back to the survivor camp we arrived too. Vargus and Felix left a few hours later, whatever the reason I don't know. Rachael and Kate understands my decision, but I can tell they're upset. There's a good chance we'll be orphans after this mess ends, if it ever does end, but I've got too much to lose to risk my life on a suicidal mission...
