As the cloth is unwrapped you finally see the contents, a dagger made of some dark metal. It's design is plain and unremarkable but something about it inspires dread, even fear, in you.
"What is that thing?"
"Something I really wish we could've left buried." Even Celeste looks unsure about her find.
"I don't know anything about magic but that thing is creeping me out." Celeste looks at you with surprise when you mention how it makes you feel.
"If you can pick up on that you might have more talent than you know."
"You still haven't explained what it is." Celeste nervously sucks air through her teeth at Allegra's question.
"It's a sacrificial dagger, used by cults...the devil worshipping kind. Like the actual kind." You and Allegra stare at her in shocked silence. "I know, I know! This dagger has done horrible things, normally I would want nothing to do with this thing! But we're ****!"
"How does this thing help us?"
"Well it's supposed to be used to summon demons but we're not doing that. If we can get it in that head vampire I think we can destroy her - so long as the power in the dagger is released right."
It's not a plan you like at all but you remember how nothing seemed to affect Jenny earlier, you may not have a choice.
"Look, we can talk about this tomorrow. Let's all get some sleep."
You answer with a yawn. Surely some rest will do you some good.
