A Crow In Fact

A young blonde woman in a pixie cut wearing the school uniform was headed to the main building a little early when she saw a crow perched atop the outer door that led to the girl’s locker room. The bird looked straight at her and cawed. She knew that she should ignore it and that this door shouldn’t have been left open, let alone at this hour.

Wisdom would dictate it was best she just keep moving, that she should ignore this. It could be dangerous and this has nothing to do with her.

Her curiosity and concern won out over her cautiousness. Halfway to the door, “are you trying to get my attention?”

The crow flew down from the open door and landed right in front of the doorway. It never took its eyes off of her. With trepidation she approached it only for the bird to take off into the locker room, once more she hesitated before following it.

Inside the women’s locker room the bird sat atop one of the tall teal painted metal lockers. It looked at her and pecked at the top of the metal container with an air of impatience.

“Mphhapphmpah!” said the locker, and the door shook. A trail of liquid leaked out the bottom and pooled out onto the floor below.

What else could she do but open it, she thought, but reached for a small aerosol can attached to her keychain just in case. Seconds after the door was opened a barely conscious redhead tumbled out. The crow was nowhere to be seen.
