A Completely Normal Day in Lavender Town, Until It Isn't

It was another ordinary day in Lavender Town. The sun was shining, the Pidgey were singing, and as far as a certain exorcist was concerned, it was going to be another boring day in this small town. This particular exorcist's name was Violet, and she was getting ready for what she assumed would be another boring day.

“Well Feu, here is to another boring day in this boring town.” That was what Violet was expecting anyway. After all, why would today be any different? She would go to the tower, do her rounds for the day, and then go back to home at the end of her shift. Only to wake up and do it all over again the next day. “I have to get out of this place before I lose my mind.”

Violet didn't plan to spend the rest of her life in Lavender Town. No, not at all. She was going to go out into the big wide world. Meet and make new friends. See new and interesting Pokémon, go on adventures. She might even attempt the League Gym Challenge. She just had to finish up her apprenticeship at the shrine. With her just turning 18 a few weeks ago, it should be over soon. She just had to not fuck things up until then.

Then she would be an official, and Licensed, Exorcist!

Her morning routine done, Violet puts on her dress and gets ready to leave her apartment. “You ready to start the day Feu?” The Litwick responds to Violet's question by jumping onto the top of her head.

Giggling, Violet tells her Pokémon "Ok then, lets go." She then steps out of her apartment and is greeted by the bright morning sun.

As Violet steps out of her apartment, everything seems completely normal and she sees nothing out of the ordinary. That is until she runs into the town Mayor, Henry. "Exorcist Plontegeist!" The Mayor seems to be very angry about something as he calls out and practically stomps in Violet's direction.

Mentally sighing because dealing with the mayor was always a headache, Violet managed to keep her face blank. "How can I help you Henry?"

"First you can tell me why the tower is locked up!?" He is now yelling in Violet's face. "I'm the mayor and your little cult can't just lock me out of the tower!"

Doing her best to keep calm, Violet tells the mayor. "Look, I just woke up. I have no idea what is going on or what you are talking about?"

The mayor glares at her. "I said what I said. Your little cult has locked me out of Lavender Tower. As the Mayor I demand to be let in this instant!"

"Ok, ok, no need to yell. I'm standing right here. Look, I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation for this." Worst case she could always just let him in. She wasn't supposed to have a key, but she would rather explain why she had stolen a key and made a copy of it than deal with an angry Mayor. Besides, if the tower really was locked she would need to unlock it just to show up. They very well couldn’t get mad at her for coming to work.

Mayor Henry huffed but agreed. "Very well, let's go."

They walked to the tower, and when they arrived, Violet could see the Mayor had not been lying. All the entrances had been locked up tight. Which was unusual because while the doors do get locked during the night, the night shift should have unlocked them by sunrise. "Huh, the doors shouldn't be locked still."

"I told you. So unlock the door, so I can enter. This is important." The mayor demands.

Violet doubted that he actually had a real reason, he just wanted to snoop. But she was wise enough to not voice her opinion. "Yes, yes, give me a second." Violet goes over to the door and starts working on unlocking it. As Violet works with the lock she looks back at Henry. "Look, I'm technically not supposed to have this. So if anyone asks I'm not the one who let you in. Ok?"

"Yes, fine. Now open the door." Henry's impatience is growing as he watches the girl mess with the door.

After a few more seconds Violet unlocks the door and they step into Lavender Tower; and they are immediately confronted by another exorcist. "Violet, how are you this morning?"

Slightly taken aback because she wasn’t expecting to run into anyone, Violet tries to play it cool "Fine I'm fine..." She takes a few seconds to try and remember his name. "Bart... I'm doing fine." She stares at him wondering if he is going to say anything else. Like how she managed to unlock the door.

But after a few moments of awkward silence the mayor barrels past Violet and gets right up in Bart’s face. "So, why was the door locked?" Great, just fucking great. Way to throw me under the bus HENRY!?

Looking at him with a look of absolute calmness, Bart replies. "Oh, isn’t it obvious? To keep people out?"

"Well I am the Mayor, and you have no right to keep me out!" The mayor was now starting to yell at the man, ranting and raving about something. Violet was honestly tuning him out. Bart for his part seemed completely unphased by the ordeal.

Realizing that something seemed off, Violet took a deep breath, cleared her mind, and reached out with her supernatural senses. The moment Violet did this she sensed that something was wrong, very wrong. She felt a strange Aura which originated from the top of the tower. An aura which reached all the way down to the bottom floor. An aura which matched what she was now sensing from Bart.

Bart meanwhile continues his innocent act. "Oh, but you see, locked doors are meant to keep people out." The doors then start to close on their own. Before Violet can do anything, the door slams shut, and the sound of a deadbolt can be heard locking the door. “Or to keep people in.”

Somehow even more furious, Henry yells. "What is the meaning of this!?!"

Bart ignores the mayor and addresses Violet. "You are a clever girl, you understand what is happening. Don't you." It wasn't a really a question, and Violet had a pretty good idea.

"Feu! Where are you!?" Answering Violet's call, the Litwick reveals itself and moves to her side. "Henry, I don't suppose you have any Pokémon with you?"

Scoffing as if he was insulted by the very question. "Of course I do. What kind of question is that?"

"Because I'm positive that Bart here is possessed" As Violet says that she sees Bart start to glow with ghostly power. She feels his Aura change as the spirit that is possessing him reveals itself. An aura which was similar to what she felt throughout the entire tower.

Bart's face turns into a twisted ominous smirk. "You know, you would have lasted longer if you hadn't come in here." He raises his hand and points his palm at the group. A Shadow Ball forming in his palm.

Violet however reacts first and commands Feu to "Burn him with Will-O-Wisp!" The Litwick sends out a few wisps of fire which light the possessed man's robes on fire.

As he is lit on fire, the thing possessing Bart gives out a loud unhuman cry which sends chills down her spine. Thankfully, Henry catches on quickly and tosses out a Pokémon Ball, releasing a Growlithe which he commands to. "Use bite!"

Following its master's command, the Growlithe lunges towards the possessed exorcist and bites him on the arm. He cries out, "Argh! Get off me!" Disoriented, he shakes off the fire dog while trying to throw the Shadow Ball at Feu, but the attack goes wide and hits a wall.

Wanting to maintain the initiative Violet calls out. "Feu, Hex!"

"Growlithe, use Bite again!"

Following their respective masters' commands, both Feu and the Growlithe attack the possessed Exorcist. While the Growlithe lunges at the Exorcist and bites his other arm, the Litwick fires off a hex. The attack covers the Exorcist's arms in fiery ghostly chains of purple. This not only immobilizes the man but it also seems to hurt the spirit possessing him. "AHHH! Get off of me you mongrel!" He screams as the Growlithe clings to him. He turns his gaze towards Henry and speaks a word of command. "Sleep" To Violet's horror it appears that the exorcist is trying to hypnotize Henry.

Thankfully, it doesn't seem to stick. As Henry shakes it off and commands. Realizing he failed to affect the Mayor, the possessed man turns his gaze to Violet. "Fine, I'll take care of you first." Breaking the hex chains he flies with supernatural agility towards the young Hex Maniac and strikes her in the stomach with a Sucker Punch.

Fuck, that hurts…

Even though she had just been punched in the stomach, Violet manages to stay conscious. "Feu, get him with another Hex!"

"Growlithe, Bite his leg!"

Both attacks strike the possessed man and cause him to cry out in pain. "AHHH!" A cry of pain which turns into an unnatural howl. “AAAHHHHRRRRGGGGG!!!!” Cries which go on as Bart's body falls to the ground while the spirit possessing him flies off, wailing in agony. “Ooooohhhhh…..” A spirit which Violet quickly realizes was a Gastly.

Violet rushes towards Bart. "Please don't be dead!?! Please don't be dead." As Violet looks over Bart's body, she quickly notices that he is breathing. "Oh thank Arceus, he is alive." Violet did NOT want to deal with a **** charge on top of EVERYTHING ELSE!

Henry is less concerned about the fate of the exorcist and more concerned with the current situation. "So are you going to tell me what is going on?"

Taking a deep breath, Violet does her best to explain. "I'm note sure exactly. But, I sense something a few floors above us." While also not panicking. "The Gastly possessing Bart seemed to realize what I was doing, so it attacked us."

Henry sighs in exasperation. "So I doubt he is the only one who has been possessed. Great, just great." He turns around to look at the now closed front doors. "And it looks like we can't leave either."

Violet doesn't bother to mention that even if she could leave, she probably wouldn't. Still, it was nice to not be stuck in this situation all by herself. "If we can reach whatever is on the top of this tower, I'm sure I can undo whatever is going on." Violet hopes she can anyway. She is only one girl after all.

Henry nods in agreement, his face full of determination. "Of course, whatever those cultists were doing could spread out into the rest of the town. We must put a stop to it. So, let's get moving."

Violet considers staying and trying to help Bart. "Yes, I supposed we should." But she isn't a doctor, nor does she have any kind of medical supplies. There isn't really anything she could do for him, not until the front doors were unlocked. "The sooner we resolve this problem the better."

Violet takes a deep breath to calm herself down. After all, she was in this tower everyday and she had been onto every floor of it, multiple times. Sure the tower usually wasn't full of possessed exorcists, but it wasn't anything she couldn't handle. Right?

"Lets get going then." Henry doesn't seem phased by the fact that the tower was now filled with ghosts and Violet isn't sure if he is just really good at hiding his emotions or if he really is just this calm. Or maybe he just doesn't fully grasp what is going on? But she was glad to not be alone in the tower.

"Right, the stairs should be over here." Violet says as she leads Henry towards the stairs. Violet tries to be as quiet and careful as possible as she walks. The last thing she wanted was to accidentally alert one of the possessed Exorcists. As she walks through the entryway to the next floor she takes a quick glance around and is relieved to see that the floor appears to be unoccupied.

Seeing the the coast appears clear, Violet starts looking around for anything of interest. To her surprise she finds a discarded bag with three Full Restores inside. Grabbing the bag Violet turns to Henry and asks. "Did you find anything?"

"No, I didn't find anything." Henry looks around, clearly on edge. "We should probably move on. We don't want to be standing in one spot for too long."

"You are probably right." Violet agrees. "We should get moving." They did have multiple floors of stairs to clear. So, without another word the pair of them head towards the next floor.

As Violet and Henry open the doors and enter the next floor they are immediately noticed by a pair of Possessed Exorcist guards.

Well shit.

"Well well, what do we have here?' One of the possessed Exorcist says.

The other Exorcist laughs. "It seems that we have a couple of rats who are poking their noises where they don't belong."

Great, just great. One of these fuckers was hard enough, but two of them!

"Well, let's make this quick." Violet is about to wonder what he plans to do, when she sees their eyes start to glow with a swirling hypnotic pattern. "I command you, sleep."

"Feu, use Hex!" Violet responds as she focuses on resisting their hypnosis. As she resists the hypnosis, she sees the Growlithe spit out an Ember of fire while Feu attacks with its hexed chains. Glancing to her side she is horrified to see Henry falling to the ground, asleep.

"Fuck." Violet curses.

"Now, you will fall asleep." The first Exorcist says as Violet feels the hypnotic command pressing against her mind. But this time she is unable to resist it. As her vision fades to black, she has one final thought. "Oh shit".

When Violet wakes up, she is confused and disoriented. Wondering where she is and what is going on. But she quickly remembers what is going on. "Shit..." Checking herself over, Violet is surprised to find herself not only unrestrained, but apparently unguarded. After a quick look around, Violet soon figures out that she is in the basement. No guards, or Henry, in sight though. "Huh... Guess they expected me to be knocked out for longer."

Violet quickly goes to the door, which is unlocked and soon finds herself back on the ground floor of the tower. "Feu?" The ghost Pokémon quickly shows back up and Violet gives a sigh of relief. At least she won't be completely by herself. Still, she didn't exactly have a lot of options. "Fuck... Nothing to do but try again..."

Violet once again climbs the tower, making her way through the still empty first floor. When she is about to reach the second floor she pauses for a moment. Turning to Feu she asks. "Think we can sneak past the guards?" Feu just smiles at her with it's cute face.

"Yeah, well I don't think I have much of a choice. Do I?" Sighing in exasperation, Violet opens the doors and walks into the second floor. Only to immediately feels a hand on her shoulder. Looking behind herself Violet sees one of the Possessed Exorcists grinning at her. "Shit."

"And where do you think you are going, my little pet?" She is pulled away from the stairwell and shoved up against a wall.

Well, this wasn't ideal. But maybe she could talk her way out of this? Trying to smile at the man, Violet asks him. "I don't suppose you're up for having a little bit of fun?"

The Exorcist just laughs. "Unfortunately, the Boss has plans for you." The possessed man then grabs Violet and drags her further into the tower. While this is the direction Violet wanted to go, she had planned to go there under her own Power, not because she was someone's captive.

Violet does her best to keep calm. This might actually be a good thing. She can feel the source of the aura getting stronger, which means she is getting closer to what ever is causing all of this. She might still be able to put a stop to all of this. "What does your boss want with me?"

The possessed Exorcist just grins and pushes her up against a wall. "Now now, if I told you, it would ruin the surprise."

Violet had a pretty good idea of what it was. Many of the other exorcists had already been possessed, she was going to be the next victim. But if the possession has to happen near the source of the power, breaking the source of power might end the possessions on everyone else. She just had to do it before she became possessed herself.

It doesn't take long and soon Violet is brought to one of the tower floors (she honestly hadn't bothered to count which floor). Once on the floor she can see the source of the supernatural power and the ghostly energy.

In the center of the room was an altar. On the altar was an urn, and floating above the urn was a Haunter. A Haunter which stared at her intensely. "Why hello there!" A Haunter that could apparently speak! "I see that you've already met my little friends." The possessed exorcists bring Violet towards the altar and the Haunter.

Violet tries to keep her voice calm as she asks. "I take it you are the one responsible for all of this?"

The Haunter laughs. "Ah, but of course. In a few more hours I'll have all of the exorcists under my control. I even have you to thank for bringing me the mayor!" The Haunter gestures to the side and Violet sees the Mayor asleep in a corner, with a few other **** exorcists.

Violet tries to remain calm as she says. "Well, you can't possibly think that you will get away with this?" She focuses on the urn in the center of the room. If she can break that, this should all be over. Feu, sweet sneaky Feu, has managed to infiltrate his way to the Urn. Focusing as best as she can Violet channels her power through Feu towards the Urn. When she sees it crack slightly she has to suppress a cry of joy.

Thankfully the Haunter doesn't notice. But he doesn't notice because all of his attention is focused on Violet. "Oh but I will. Especially once I have possessed you." The Haunter flies down to Violet's side and she can feel him trying to take control of her spirit.

"Now then, how about you show me those nice breasts of yours." Violet tries to keep him from possessing her, but with most of her attention focused on the Urn she can't resist. As if her hands belong to someone else, Violet uncovers her breasts

"Ah yes, perfect." The Haunter reaches forward and starts fondling Violet's chest. "But why stop there. How about you get rid of that dress?" Violet, not being in control of her body, can't refuse. She finds herself stripping naked. First she takes off her purple dress, then her bra, leaving her panties for last. As Violet stands in front of the Haunter, and she has no idea who else, completely naked and at their mercy, she feels a shiver run up her spine. A shiver that is accompanied by a spike of arousal. She has no idea if the Haunter is making her feel this way, if she is simply an exhibitionist, or both. But she feels as if she has lost complete control of her body.

But she can still control her mind, for now. Channeling her power through Feu she is glad to see that the crack in the urn has grown. A little more and the urn should break in half. She just has to survive the Haunter's perversions until then.

The Haunter grins, clearly enjoying the view. "Perfect, perfect." He then turns to one of the other exorcists. "Now then, how about we have some fun with her?" Looking back at Violet he commands her to. "Lay down on your back."

Violet has **** but to comply. As her body lowers itself down onto the floor, she can feel the cold stone beneath her. The Haunter then floats down, positioning himself above her chest. "Now then, let's have some fun."

Violet then feels the Haunter's long tongue lapping at her pussy. Violet can't stop the moan that escapes her lips as he sucks and slurps away. "Ahhhh..."

"Ah yes, perfect. Perfect." The Haunter says as his long tongue slithers across her clit.

Violet has never had a guy go down on her before. And the last thing she wants is to have her first experience with this kind of pleasure be with a fucking ghost! She had to stop this before they got any further. Summoning the remainder of her will power she directs it through Feu and into the cursed urn. For a few seconds she is afraid that nothing happened. But then she hears a loud crack and the urn explodes, sending shards of clay everywhere.

As the urn explodes the ghostly power that has been flowing into the tower is cut off. As the ghostly power is cut off, the possessed Exorcists start to fall to the ground like puppets who had their strings cut.

The Haunter starts to wail. "No!!! What have you done! You stupid girl! I will take my ****!" The Haunter then rushes Violet, only to be intercepted by Feu.

Her face flush red and a huge grin on her face, Violet commands Feu. "Imprison that thing!" Channeling her power through Feu, Violent then starts sealing away the Haunter. "And make sure it never gets free again!"

The Haunter continues to howl and rage, "No! not again!" But his cries of defiance are useless and his voice fades until it completely disappears and he is sealed away.

Once the Haunter is sealed away, Violet lets out a sigh of relief and sinks down onto the ground. "That was close..." As she shits down on the ground, stunned and exhausted, Feu jumps into her lap. "We did it...?" She can honestly barely believe it. "We did it...!"

Some Final Thoughts: I did all of the "rolls" before hand and then spent a few days typing this out. In my other attempts I generally would write things out as I am rolling. Which is why there rolls are often in the middle of the text. But I thought I'd try it a little different. There were pros and cons to this. But anyway, I hope you all found this at least interesting. If you care about the game mechanical stuff it is down below.

Oh, this is an interesting ally. No Lords, but we can do a Mayor. A Mayor who is dignified, and is NOT a local. I’ll name him Henry. Since Henry isn’t a local he dislikes Violet and the other Exorcists of Lavender Town. As for the “Conversation” it will relate to the events of the Random Event. Something has gone wrong. This wrongness has “Transformed” the locals from friendly to hostile, and is being caused by a piece of “Equipment”. The “Reward” will be that the formally unfriendly Mayor will turn into an ally. Since I got the “A Plot Arc (mystical)”, I’ll say the equipment causing all of this is mystical in some way. Perfect for our young exorcist to handle.

Research Roll d6 to notice if anything odd is going on, aided by Feu since he is with her; d6, d6; (1,1) FIRST ROLL OF THE GAME IS EKANS EYES! The Mayor approaching her seems appropriate, a way to kick off the action for the session, and a way to just make poor Violet suffer :D.

Violet does a Supernatural Check (d8) aided by Feu (Hex? d4): [8+1, 3] 8 Explodes, but then she rolls a 1 for a total of 9.

Although Violet doesn’t know all of this yet; there is an Item (Involving: [QC] Equipment (physical)) that is making the Exorcists (Adversaries: [4] Local inhabitants) hostile. If she destroys it (Objective: [1] Eliminate a threat) they will return to normal. She can sense the item’s effect and that it is affecting Bart.

Are the doors supposed to be locked at night? Yes/No[Unlikely]: (5, 1) Yes, BUT they should have been opened by now.

Does Henry have Pokémon? Yes/No[Likely]: (5, 4) Yes. Did not roll an And/But so he shouldn’t have an advantage OR disadvantage. So something neutral against ghosts/poison and at least makes some sense for Henry to have. Dogs are popular and Growlithe is local and a Fire Type!

Possessed exorcist will be stated out as a “PC Pokémon”, so he is a little tougher than a normal Pokémon.

Flinch [-2 to next action] and is shaken(The exorcist is stated as a “PC Pokémon”). So good news is that Violet is brought before the “leader”, bad news is that he is a Haunter who seeks to possess HER. Why a Haunter? Well it is either a Haunter or a Gengar and a Gengar seems like OVERKILL!

They are currently in the process of conducting the ritual on Henry. As for what they do to Violet, I can only think of one appropriate thing to occur. Prepare her for Possession.

Well that was something? The Haunter almost got away, Violet saved the day, and she only got violated a little by ghosts :D

Since this is an Important Milestone for Violet, I'm giving her +1 Advancement Point which she will spend to gain Move Tutor. Since she already has Martial Artist and Supernatural, this means that Violet can use Moves in a similar way as a Ghost Pokémon Can, although she can only have 4 moves Active at a time, she can spend a downtime activity to change what the moves are.

_Picked moves based mostly on out of battle uses. These moves are _Hex(she IS a Hex Maniac), Poltergeist(move around objects), Phantom ****(disappear and reappear), & Nightshade(makes people see frightful images). I considered Imprison, but that is why she has Feu! Besides, as a Move Tutor I'm 99% sure that she can change what moves she has Recalled. No reason she could not Recall Imprison and forget something else if she really wanted to.
