A Baka and his Wolf

"Shhhh!"

Both figures giggled in unison, one notably sounding feminine to the dolls ear. She had parted the door slightly just enough to open a sliver of space between the door and its frame for her to peek through. But it became apparent that they had not noticed, instead they were hidden underneath the blanket like children playing hide and seek.

Xitlaly frowned, she didn't need to guess. Seline was asleep in her room, it was obvious who else would be in bed with him. But after so few days of getting to know her, was he being pressured into this? She never took her brother to be that direct or fast in his actions, as he admitted to having no experience with women before. Was it all Reta's doing, had to be.

As soon as she was about to push the door wide open, the blanket was pushed off to their waists. Now she could see them more clearly, they were both smiling and staring into each other's eyes. Something made her pause before making her presence known, Reta was topless but his eyes weren't down there. What was going on?

"You think she's awake?"

"Hard to tell, I can smell her but her scent is on you too so, besides not like smell can tell me in what exact location she is. I'd say if she was up, she'd be on our asses by now."

"Wow."

"What?"

"Nothing." He chuckled. "Just, shocked really. About you being a wolf and all."

"Werewolf, remember? Still human, I think."

"Definitely. You're not like... you know, ferocious or anything like an actual wolf. More like a cat, cute and adoring."

She groaned. "I'm bad news, trust me. You don't want me on my bad side. I knew a cat by the way, a Nekomata to be exact. Stupid, naive little brat, but she had a good heart and a good man."

"And you?"

"No, no good man yet." They both snickered and laughed together for a minute. Were they both nude under the covers?

Basil groaned and rolled on his back with a hand to his forehead. "Fuck, my head is giving me a slight pounding."

"Lightweight. I drank way more and you don't hear me whining."

"Must be that curse, might grant alcohol immunity." He chuckled as she booped his head.

"Baka."

He smiled, watching her paws and furry wolf ears peaking out of her hair.

"Basil, you're staring."

"Sorry, it just looks-"

"Ugly?"

"I was going with beautiful, but ugly works too." He grinned as she scoffed and rolled to her side, her back to him.

"You just say the right words to make me feel good. Baka, falling for a creature like me."

"Well, I am more awed than scared at what you really are, who you really are. So yea, maybe I am a baka." He snuggled up to her, spooning her from behind.

"Careful, I've been down this road before, it didn't do good."

"Then I'll do better, if you give me the chance. What do you say?"

She muttered to herself, wondering what she had gotten herself into.

"Baka."

Xitlaly looked down before slowly closing the door, tiptoeing back down the stairs. She sat down thinking about what she saw, about those two. What exactly is going on in her house? Was this safe for him to be doing this with her? How far have they gone, and was she okay with this?

It was a lot to process.

Her focus was gone once she heard familar voices out the front door.
