5 - Player Three Start!

~ Da-ding-a-ding! ~

Just as I was about to turn the screen around to show her, I noticed the slightly different chime sound, and the new message that popped up:

Bonus: Welcome Aboard!

Bringing a new player into the game? The more the merrier! ALYSSA's turn comes after yours. Each of you gets a bonus change for the other, and she get a free command right now, to get her started. You both gain 10 points!

I read it a second time, starting to panic a little. This isn't what I meant. I knew from Matt's misadventure that the app had some surprises and traps, but I hadn't expected for Alyssa to get caught up in it too! And what would she do with it? I trusted her, mostly, but we didn't see eye to eye on every single thing, and in my timeline it had been more that a year since I'd even spoken to her. And who could say how different this version could be?

The next screen offered the 'Bonus Change' that the message had promised. Three options, in red, green, and blue.

"Shorter Stack", with a symbol of a stack of pancakes,

"Friendly Greetings", with a symbol of a pair of lips,

and

"Filthy Mind", with a symbol of a soapy sponge and a bucket.

and a timer, which was counting down three minutes.

My heart sped up a little.

Alyssa looked down, reacting to her own phone buzzing. She still looked skeptical, but she was clearly reading something on her own cellphone. I saw her smirk, briefly.

"Okay, three options, huh?" she said with a sigh, still unconvinced. "I'll humor you. What does 'Double Up' do?"

~ Ba-bing! ~

Startled, I looked down at myself, but i didn't see anything different. Alyssa was staring at me, wide-eyed, mouth agape. "Buh- but th- that's impossible!"

I sighed. "What is it Lyssa?"

"Your boobs! Holy shit, Lauren, your boobs!" She exclaimed.

"Shhhh! People can hear you!" I reprimanded her, in a forceful whisper.

"Sorry, sorry. But holy shit, Lauren, your boobs!" she repeated under her breath. She looked amazed, and delighted.

I looked down at my chest.

They seemed normal. My four firm, bouncy, basketball-sized milk-jugs, which had made me internet-famous as a niche InstaGlam influencer and LonelyFans model, were still stretching out my sweater just like they always did. All four sensitive nipples were hard from the gentle friction of my t-shirt, but that was nothing new.

I hefted them in my hands, comparing the mass of the lower pair to the upper pair, savoring the gentle pull of their weight shifting on my chest. They felt normal.

Of course, they would, wouldn't they?

"What about my boobs, Alyssa?" I asked, warily. "What did you change?"

Her face turned to a delighted grin, as she said with a giggle, "You really can't tell, can you?"

The serious tone of our earlier discussion was completely forgotten.

I tried to puzzle it out. Something about my boobs... I'd always tried to hide them until they really started growing in freshman year. I knew it was strange to have four. Even the family doctor was stumped. I felt like a freak. I stayed home when I could, and never made many friends. When I met Alyssa, hiding in the art room during lunch, we bonded as fellow introverts over video games and her older brother's extensive anime collection. She was the first person I showed on purpose.

Alyssa helped me gain the confidence to go out, when they got too big to hide. That's when I went from being the nobody in the baggy sweatshirts to the impossible-to-miss bombshell with the four titanic titties which stretched any top to the limit. I started wearing the skimpiest clothes my parents would let me, learned to walk with an extra sway, and grew to love the way the boys would stare at my trademark quadruple-cleavage, and the way my top pair was always lifted and jostled and bounced around by the perky bottom pair pushing up from below, like a four-pack of basketballs struggling to escape any top I crammed them into.

I thought about my prom dress, and my poor, poor ex boyfriends.

And when I broke up with one of them, or despaired over my faded dreams of being an athlete, or just needed someone to talk to, Alyssa was always there to cheer me up with a bootleg anime torrent or an obscure fan-translated SNES RPG.

And I was there for her, when she came out and her parents stopped talking to her.

I looked up at her again, my best and closest friend... But this Alyssa had different memories, didn't she? She knew the Lauren with the perpetually flawless hair and face. What was their friendship like, I wondered.

(Ooh! Maybe I'd gotten into cosplay! It would be so much easier!)

Right now, she was giggling. "Well? Did you figure it out?"

"You said it was called 'Double Up', right?" I said with a confident smirk, hefting the top pair. "You made them bigger, didn't you?!" I tried to imagine growing up with tits just half my size. Still huge for most girls, I reflected.

Alyssa busted out laughing.

"Ha! Bzzzzzt! Wrong! You get your next guess tomorrow!"

I was shocked. She looked back down at her phone.

"Now for this bonus command... 'Just type anything,' you said?"

She typed something.

~ Da-ding! ~

I looked around, frantically.

Nothing seemed out of place. Of course.

I met Alyssa's eyes again. She was grinning ear to ear, and looking me dead in the eyes. "That one's going to be my little secret," she said with a laugh.

I was speechless. What could she possibly have typed? I was a little afraid how easily she was taking to this.

The sound of my alarm brought me back to my own phone. Ten minutes until class started! Shit! I had to get to the classroom, review my notes one more time, check a few things in the textbook I wasn't sure of...

I blinked.

My phone beeped.

On the Bonus screen, the timer was ticking down.

"Shit! Sorry Lyssa! I've got to pick something for you!"

She giggled, and shrugged her shoulders. "Fair's fair. Don't tell me what it is, okay? I want to guess. Or we can find out what happens when that timer runs out. Maybe I get all three!"

I was always amazed at her ability to take things in stride, but today? I almost wished she was as scared as I was.

I looked back to the options, as the timer ticked down toward zero.
