20 minutes of hell

"Guys get over here!" The group holding the hole falls back to me. "What about the barrier!" Delilah yells. "Let it go we're reforming our perimeter." as soon as I say this she drops the barrier and runs back to us. The werebeast that were on the roof now drop to the floor Zack,Titan,Abby and myself charge into the frey killing anything in our path Delilah,Amana and Tina are shooting red orbs of light at any werebeast that gets to close to the crowd. More and more werebeast are charging through the opening they made how many of them are there. More of those gigantic beast charge at us we're holding them off somehow, but their numbers seem endless. It's than that I notice that Kyle has gone missing I can see that everyone is starting to get tired I thought it was a miracle we were holding them off for as long as we had." Arrrggg!" Zack is on the ground with a hole in his stomach I rush over to his aide bowling through the werebeast like a bowling ball over pins. I tackle the one standing over him, "Zack you ok?" "I'll live." he says. I look over to the transports and see about only half of the passengers had been loaded. Damn how long can we keep this up I wonder. Zack stands up, "can you still fight?" He nods "good." We rejoin the battle. It seems hopeless no matter how many we kill they just keep coming we start getting pushed back we're at our limit. "Mommy!" I hear a child cry out I see the child on the other side of the room unfortunately the werebeast also notice they begin to make their way to the child I run to intercept them taking out any beast in my way. Their upon the boy and I'm to far back to do anything. The child begins to cry "Mommy help me!" I slay one beast after another hoping that there is someway to reach the poor child. Damnit! Why? Why can't I move faster? What happened to limitless power? What happened to being able to strengthening my allies? Why can't I do any of this? I start having flash backs of the night my parents died of Annabel. It's than that I feel something stirring within me.

It's strange....it's a faint pulsing throughout my body....it's weak but I can feel it getting stronger. I start to feel it expanding from my body and reaching out towards my allies. They suddenly seem refreshed Delilah,Tina and Amanda's red orbs begin shooting out at an alarming rate one by one werebeast are lighting up like Christmas trees. Zack,Abby and Titan start moving faster they chop through their enemies like their nothing. I feel myself getting faster I suddenly find myself upon the group of werebeast around the boy I grab one and fling it into the wall across the room it breaks through the wall and into the outside world the werebeast turned to me completely stunned I make quick work of the small group. I scoop the boy up into my arms he's still crying "it's ok you're safe now." "lets get you back to your mom." I run past the werebeast as if they were standing still his mom is waiting by the transport...not like she would be anywhere else they board the last transport it takes off leaving only us and the werebeast. Than there is another explosion from the other side of the room Kyle is standing in the newly made hole...honestly has no one ever heard of a door. The sight before me gives me hope. As he is standing there with the entire palace guard **** at his back. "Sorry for disappearing on ya like that Antonio just thought we could use some help, but from the looks of it you guys are holding your own." Now that I thought about it the tide of the battle did seem to change in our favor. I smile "true but it never hurts to have a little help." That's all the invitation the guards need as they charge the beast without a moments hesitation with the guards now helping us we made quick work of what is left of the werebeast.

We won I fall back my body was completely exhausted Kaylee kneels down next to me. "Everything ok?" her tone is one of only mild concern. "yeah I'm good think I blew my load though." I say. She giggles interesting choice of words. I smile and shake my head. "Is everyone ok?" "yep you guys saved everyone not one friendly casualty." "What about Zack?" "he'll live, he'll need to take a month off though." I sit up "so these parties always end like this?" "Oh all the time." she says jokingly "ok good I wouldn't want to think this was a first time thing wouldn't want to make other jealous." my tone is cheeky as I say this. A worn and weary Delilah approaches us. "Hey there beautiful." She looks pissed i see a vein popping out of her head. Uh oh I'm in trouble. "Antonio...what is that on your neck that isn't one of mine." "Umm funny story...kaylee you want to tell her what happened." Delilah turns her attention to her "Kaylee what did you do?" Kaylee laughs nervously "well Antonio was walking in the back their and I thought he was suspicious so my team and I stopped him." I can literally see Delilah's vein getting bigger. "Then what happened." Delilah's tone is stern. Kaylee gets more nervous "well he told me something I didn't believe him so I sucked some of his blood." Delilah's face is getting red from rage I want to run but I don't have the strength. Delilah continues her interrogation "and exactly how long did you suck his blood." Kaylee begins to squirm under Delilah's intense gaze "about a minute." Kaylee looks like she wants to bolt but than Delilah's gaze softens she lets out a sigh. "I'm sorry Kaylee sounds like you were doing your job by the book I'm just tired." "It's ok." Kaylee says "and you." Delilah's gaze turns back to me her tone is slightly angry , "where were you I wanted to dance with you but I couldn't find you." "well I ran into Kaylee than when I got back I couldn't find you either at least not till that weird thing happened." as I say this Delilah cocks her head "what weird thing?" "I'll tell you later right now I want a nice hot shower and a bed." Delilah lets the matter drop for now, I stand up she sighs. "Well I guess we're going to have to get you another suit." "and my poor dress is ruined." I just smile and shake my head walk up to her and grab the back of her head than plant a passionate kiss on her.

I was really happy she was ok. She breaks the kiss "what was that for?" She ask me. "I need a reason to kiss you?" I say, "no I just...I don't know it was unexpected." her tone is exasperated she was so cute when she's flustered. Kaylee clears her throat "hate to interrupt but would you guys like to leave so we can bring in the clean up crew." We all leave the palace our limo driver brings the car around the look on his face is one of shock. "Driver take us to the nearest five start hotel." Delilah camly tells him. "Y-yes ma'am we pile our weary bodies into the limo thankfully the blood on our clothes was dry we stay quiet the entire way to the hotel. I was becoming accustomed to large buildings floating so when we parked on a platform next to a bigger, fancier version of the Hilton floating in midair I really wasn't all that impressed. We walk inside Delilah walks up to the counter and is handed six keys she hands one to each member of our group but me. They all leave to their rooms Delilah and I were still in the lobby. She walks up to an elevator and calls for it to come down I stand by her side the doors open and we walk inside "top floor." she says in a tired tone. The doors close and we start going up we're silent for for the first ten seconds. I break the silence" I was just happy you were ok plus I didn't want you to start mourning over your poor dress." I start to laugh she playfully slaps my arm. She giggles "jerk." The elevator stops and we exit it, I follow behind her since she seems to know where she's going.

She stops at a door and places her key card on the scanner. The door opens we walk inside. She goes to the closet and grabs a towel and heads for the bathroom. She looks at me "you coming?" I go to the closet and grab a towel as we walk into the bathroom it's huge it has a jacuzzi tub...never been in one of those before. "Hot water." as I say this the nozzle release....well hot water. We strip off our bloody clothes and get into the tub we both sigh in tandem which cause Delilah to giggle I loved that little giggle of hers. We clean each other off we were to tired to play around. We dry off and collapse onto the bed naked I pull the covers over us and put my arms around her she nuzzles deep into my chest we both fall asleep shortly after.
