No rest for the weary.

I feel myself slowly waking up I open my eyes....Delilah was gone I sit up ugh my body feels like it just went went twelve rounds with Mike Tyson. "Delilah." I call out. No response than my eyes fall to the door there is a new suit hanging on the door with a note attached to it. How long have I been asleep I look over to see a clock, It's tiny i can see right through it the numbers are blue it reads two thirty. What time did we go to sleep last night? I regretfully get up my body was aching, I walk over to the door i grab the suit it's in a clear plastic bag. I take it from the door and set it on the bed I grab the not. It reads Antonio when you get up meet us down in the lobby. I put the note down and open the bag thankfully I find a pair of underwear, black shoes and socks as well as the my new white suit. I put the clothes on and exist the room and make my way to the elevator I'm about to call it up when the doors open on there own. I'm shocked to see the werebeast diplomat from last night before me. She smiles "hello Antonio." Her tone is friendly and casual "hi." My tone is less friendly, she walks out of the elevator and walks past me. "Be careful Antonio we need you...more than you know. It wasn't what she said that bugged me it was how she said it there was genuine concern in her voice. I walk into the elevator "bottom floor." I was wondering what was going on what did she know. It had to do with what happened last night could she be telling me that the traitor was someone I knew. I shake my head no it can't be she's trying to trick me. Plus if she really wanted to tell me who the traitor was why didn't she? Then again Kyle's disappearance was suspicious than his 'convenient' return when the battle started going our way again.

I need more evidence than this though to accuse him of being a traitor. The elevator doors open up I walk into the lobby and see Delilah and company sitting around a table they're talking and laughing I walk up to the group Titan is the first to notice me. "Ah here comes the hero." I give him a confused look. I sit down next to Delilah, "Hi." she says in a more cheerful tone than usual. "Hey you." I give her a small peck on the cheek. I turn my attention to Titan "and what do you mean hero I wasn't the only one fighting last night." "True." He responds "but check this out." He presses a few buttons on his phone and hands it to me, I see a blank screen suddenly I hear what sounds like a theme intro to a news show and sure enough I see a news anchor appear on the screen. "Good morning Fasdol I'm sure we've all heard about the incident that happened at the Ball last night. As a massive group of werebeast tried kill all the guest. However their attempt was dashed when a group of men and woman identified as the Fasdol special task **** held them off and managed to get every guest out alive which is simply amazing. We had a chance to interview one of the guest last night. It suddenly changes to a woman it's the woman from last night the one that got separated from her son. "So can you describe what happened last night." she nods "yes I can it was chaos people were screaming I was scared I looked up and saw a ceiling filled with werebeast they dropped towards us." "My first thought was I'm gonna die than a purple barrier came out of nowhere and it stopped them." "That's when I saw them a group a brave men and women risking everything for people they hardly knew." "I started to look around I was looking for my son than I heard him call out from across the room." She starts tearing up "he was surrounded by werebeast I heard him call out to me again but there was nothing I could do." "I was sure he was gonna die I desperately looked around to see if the group noticed and one man did he was trying to make his way to my son. It didn't look like he was gonna make it than he suddenly just vanished I was shocked." "Than I saw a beast flying in the air and through a wall I look back to the group that surrounded my son." "The man was standing over there the beast were lying dead around him and he had my son in his arms." "He disappeared again than appeared in front of me he handed me my son and than he was off again." I'll never forget his face." It's because of him my son is still alive and for that I'm grateful." The video stops.

I hand Titan his phone back. "I was just doing what any of you guys would've done. "while this is true Antonio mos of us wouldn't have made it besides you and Delilah." Abby states plainly, a grin spreads on her face "plus you saved a woman's child so needless to say you're probably going to get a lot of interview request so have fun with that. She barks out a small laugh, they all knew I didn't handle attention well and they mercilessly began teasing me. Delilah puts a hand on my shoulder "you'll be great Antonio just relax and have fun with it." "Thanks Delilah at least someone is being nice about this." I pretend they to glare at the rest of them this causes even more laughter to ensue. Delilah's phone begins to ring. She answers it, "hello...yes sir....yes sir we'll be right on our way. Fuck! I already knew what was gonna happen another mission I can barely move with out it hurting. I let out a sigh. I get up from my chair. "Lets go guys." They all stood we knew exactly what was going on Delilah didn't need to tell us. We exit the building I'm surprised to see Delilah's car waiting in the parking lot. "We retrieved our vehicles while you were sleeping. Delilah says. Everyone heads to their car and we make our way to F.D.H the trip there is uneventful. We're now sitting in the briefing "Hello everyone I know you guys are tired from last night but we have a problem." William says. "We sent a squad to our southern border a few days ago when you guys went to check out the base I'm sure you all remember." We all nod. "Good well they haven't returned or reported in so we're sending you guys to their last know location her." The holographic image focuses on a forest area. "You'll be heading to Garrack forest." I could actually feel the tension building in the room. "You're mission is search and rescue...if there's anything to rescue." "I'm sure I don't have to tell you all how dangerous the forest is so stay on guard and proceed with **** caution just radio us when you guys find them and we'll send a cruiser to pick you guys up." "Alright any questions." No one responds. "Alright good luck." We walk to the prep room everyone is so quiet but it brings the point home that the place we're going to is very dangerous we suit up I put on my gloves on and grab some other supplies a backpack, rations, a compass ,a map and a sos transponder just in case we get in over our head. Delilah walks up to me and wraps her arms around me giving me a tight hug....she's shaking I put my arms around her back and begin rubbing it. "Delilah what's wrong?" I whisper. "I'm scared Antonio I'm scared that I'm going to lose you." her tone is barely a whisper. I put on my most confident smile and slightly pull away from her, I put a hand beneath her chin bringing eyes to mine I can see tears forming this place must be really dangerous if she's this worried. I give her a comforting kiss. It last for about two minutes I break it. "I'm not going anywhere ok we're gonna go on this mission we're are gonna kick some ass and we're gonna be back before supper." That last part makes her laugh, Delilah squeezes me a little tighter. "Thank you Antonio." We enter the cruiser and buckle in. It begins to move Delilah places a hand on mine letting magic flow into me. I hope we all come back in one piece.
