2. Trouble comes in multiples

As Malene walks, she hears the sounds of birds. Looking to the east she sees the sun start to rise and is confident in the knowledge that they’re waking up just as she is.

So it’s a surprise when she sees the woman bent over the edge of the river chirping to herself. And it’s even more of a surprise when two more melt out of the woods.

Malene grabs her sword and tries to sneak around deeper into the woods so as to avoid them.
