14. She meets back up with the river

It isn’t long in her travel day before she hears the rush of water in the distance. Malene rushes forward a little and sees the familiar river leading to her homeland again. She smiles. She can almost smell home.

She continues along the river, hugging its banks for security as she makes her way home.
