10.1.e Head to one of the major taverns

After a walk, you decide working at a tavern is an excellent idea. Such establishments attract diverse people daily, allowing you to gather news, rumors, and valuable information about this new world, knowledge that could prevent future mistakes.

You begin your job hunt, asking directions to taverns needing staff. The first few you visit aren't hiring, but after hours walking the city's and questioning various humanoids with your investigation skills, you finally get a lead: a prominent tavern called "The Drunken Dragon" is recruiting.

Upon entering, you are greeted by a lively atmosphere. People of all species feast, drink, and celebrate. You are surprised, an actual dragon is drinking behind the counter, but since no one seems alarmed, you stay calm.
Of course, you realize that must be its owner... "The Drunken Dragon"

Approaching cautiously, the dragon notices you and cheerfully says "Hello! Need a table? Or perhaps lodging? We have rooms upstairs too!"

You explain you're actually seeking employment, having heard they're hiring.

"Ah, splendid!" It exclaims. "Business is booming. I do need more hands. What skills do you bring?"

You mention your mathematical aptitude, even presenting the guard-issued certification.

"Perfect timing! I desperately need someone to manage the numbers, freeing me for other things. You can start today on probation. Stay sharp!"

It quickly trains you: reviewing ledger books, demonstrating the cashbox, and providing a uniform. The work is simple, though manually calculating sums feels strange; back in your previous life, you'd have used Excel.

By day's end, you've performed flawlessly. The dragon is impressed and says "Consider your trial passed! Welcome aboard The Drunken Dragon!"
