Chapter 2

Consider if you will…
…Flux and anchor
Jack L Chalker wrote a series in this unique setting. Originally a world colonised using matter to energy to matter transportation and terraforming the world. Flux and anchor was maintained by powerful AI’s that, due to political and other machinations, were not directly accessible to most people.
The AI’s, through complex programs, maintained Anchor’s, large areas of land, in a state of normalcy. When first created the people within anchor were reduced to a medieval state, memories and skills reduced to a pre-industrial level ruled by a matriarchal church. The priestesses were all loyal to the church… most of them having been male and highly educated professionals.
In flux those with clearance and access to AI’s (and their descendants) were like gods, fluxlords able to transform matter to energy to matter. People, animals, buildings and objects were utterly mutable. Flux was where reality was not fully maintained by the AI’s. Here fluxlords, through **** of will or an understanding of programming or both could carve out their own demesne if powerful enough or control peoples bodies and minds. To the most of the primitive descendants of the original colonisers flux was magic. But some knew the truth of things.
Fluxgirl are an original program from where a woman turned herself into a vacuous, unintelligent, submissive, sex obsessed bimbo.
It’s a unique fantasy setting…
