“I’m sorry, but we’re going to have to make an example out of you.”

Everyone glanced over at the University President. The bookish woman had taken the appearance of the naked girl with her usual droll demeanor and set to work finding the answer to her question.

“This is preposterous!” One of the board members cried out. Nikki stood still at the mic, but took note of the name plate in front of him. Mr. McGraw it read.

“Not only have you rudely jumped onstage to interrupt those who sat thru the meeting to ask their questions, you also ask a question that is totally out of turn and is in no way related to the conversation this board has met to discuss!” His tone was aggressive and defensive.

There was an odd murmur from the members of the board. The University President continued to stare at her computer screen.

“Where is University PD!” McGraw shouted from the platform. “I demand you arrest this… Protestor!… For Trespassing… and Disturbing the peace!”

“She’s just expressing her first amendment rights.” Another Board member said looking quizzically at McGraw.

“Indecent Exposure then!” McGraw shouted now standing.

Nikki didn’t know what to do. She kept her eyes glued to the Board in front of her. She was painfully aware that her bare ass was on complete display to the full audience behind her. She just knew there was nowhere else to go.

Two uniformed campus police officers were coming down the aisles of the auditorium towards the stage. Presumably to arrest her like the Mr. McGraw was shouting. She could turn and run towards the door she had come in, but the Deltas all stood there blocking that exit.

“What exactly is going on here?” Another board member shouted banging hard on the table. A silence fell over the room as they stood up. Nikki recognized her. It was Dr. Marlowe.

Marlowe was a campus legend. She was a titan in her field of Anthropology. Despite having worked on campus for 30 years Dr. Marlowe looked very fit and her long Auburn hair had only a few streaks of grey. Nikki was considering an Anthropology minor and had read all about the Professor. She knew that she’d been elected as the Faculty Representative to the Board of Trustees which was why she was onstage now.

“What is your name?” Dr. Marlowe asked.

“Nikki… Nicolette Bowen ma’am.” She answered timidly.

“And Ms. Bowen, exactly why are you naked onstage right now? Asking questions about textbooks that have nothing to do with the implementation of the new Campus Judiciary Code of Conduct?”

Nikki didn’t know how to answer. She knew she couldn’t say it was a Sorority Stunt. Hazing was outlawed on Campus. And as much as she hated her in this moment she couldn’t throw Kiley under the bus like that.

“I’m… protesting…” she said remembering what McGraw had first called her. A protester.

“And what are you protesting?” Marlowe asked.

“Like you said… the new campus judicial codes.” Nikki was trying to think as fast as she could. Maybe if she played into the freedom to protest angle she could still get out of here.

“I can see some logic in showing up naked to protest those…” Marlowe muttered as she looked directly into Nikki’s eyes. She was thankful for the professors fierce gaze. If for no other reason than she knew there was a set of eyes in the auditorium not staring at her naked body.

“What I don’t understand is if you are protesting the Judicial Code of Conduct why are you asking about textbooks?” Nikki didn’t have a good answer to that. It had just been the first thing to pop into her head.

“The University spent the entirety of the 10.3 Million dollars allocated in the yearly budget on textbooks.” The University president finally said looking up from her computer as if the interrogation of the naked girl hadn’t just been happening.

“I’m sorry Janice?” Dr. Marlowe said breaking off her gaze from Nikki to the President. Nikki noticed McGraw start to slowly sit down.

“This past fiscal year the University has spent the exact budget allotted for textbook purchases. Not a penny more or less. In fact they have spent the entire budget exactly the past 3 years. All to the same publishers.”

“But that’s impossible. Dan you negotiated the proposals for that personally.” Another board member said from the far end of the table.

It was then that all hell broke loose. Something had clearly clicked with the Board Members. most were now standing and shouting at each other and McGraw seemed to be in the middle of it all shouting about how the President must be wrong and that he needed to consult his lawyers.

The crowd behind Nikki started to scream as well. Some for order. Some about corruption. Others about the Judiciary Code Proposal that Nikki was really starting to wish she’d read about.

She looked around. In the chaos the Deltas had started to creep towards the stage to grab her. Looking over the crowd she saw that the campus cops were now caught up trying to calm the audience members who were shouting.

Sensing an opportunity Nikki slipped into the wing of the stage opposite of the Deltas. There had to be another way out.

Her eyes took another second to readjust as she looked around backstage. Sure enough there was another door right in front of her at the back of the stage.

She started to run when she felt an iron grip on her left arm. Nikki froze scared a Delta had finally caught her. Only to be shocked to find Dr. Marlowe grasping her arm.

“I don’t think you are quite the protestor you claim to be hiding your body like that and trying to run away right as you’ve caused the kind of discourse a real believer in a cause would be so greatly relishing.” Marlowe’s voice was firm but not cold. It wasn’t exactly sympathetic but it still had a knowing edge to it.

“Professor I’m sorry this is all just a big misunderstanding.” Nikki muttered.

“Ms. Bowen do not apologize to me. McGraw was the last person standing between me and getting the new Judiciary Code passed for Campus. He’s currently running out of the building faster than you were just trying to.”

Nikki didn’t know what to say. Just in the darkness looked at the older woman.

“It is I who should be sorry. After all of this is over please stop by my office. I do want to know the real reason for your… escapade tonight.” And with that she snapped the fingers of her free hand and another Campus Police Officer appeared out of the darkness backstage.

Marlowe gave him a curt nod and he came forward. Nikki struggled as he grabbed the arm that had been covering her tits and twisted it behind her back. She wanted to pull away but soon her second arm, the one covering her new landing strip, was yanked behind her back. She felt the cold metal as a set of handcuffs were snapped on her wrists.

“I’m sorry, but we’re going to have to make an example out of you.”
