[BONUS SCENE:] Happy Birthday, Emma!

You’re bouncing on the balls of your feet slightly, watching the numbers on the elevator panel click upwards.

Emma’s in the penthouse, naturally, so there’s a few more floors to go. About twenty seconds, maybe. You can already feel the excitement rising in your chest.

Excitement – and a flicker of nerves, because Emma doesn’t know you’re coming.

It’s a surprise. Her birthday’s tomorrow, and you know Sarah’s got the whole thing planned out to the nanosecond; friends, gifts, party, the works. A few of her mates and ex-cast members are flying into the UK, and her old roommate from Brown University; you’re looking forward to meeting them, and you’re sure the party will be a blast. (If for no other reason than that you’ll get to watch Emma smiling, all day long.)

But you wanted to do something a bit special before the cake and the fireworks. Something just for the two of you. A private party, you think, lips twitching with amusement.

Best part is, she has no idea what’s in store.
