Ash pressed two fingers to her temple and cocked her head to the side, letting out a sigh as she sneered at the dense half-elf. "If I had that kind of power, do you think I would have been captured in the first place?"

She let out another sigh, and her expression became more solemn. "...Under normal circumstances, I would. I don't know magic traditionally, I'm not a wizard nerd or anything. But I would usually be able to connect to my home, the plane of fire, and summon flames directly from there to incinerate anything I wanted. But for some reason, my connection to home has been almost completely cut off. I can only squeeze out the tiniest of embers right now. So I'm in no position to take on an entire camp of bandits by myself."

She folded her arms across her chest and glared derisively again at the half-elf. "Besides, I don't do charity, and I don't help cowards. If you want out of here, make an escape attempt yourself, and maybe I'll help. Otherwise, do the smart thing, and wait to escape until after you've been sold. One **** owner has gotta be easier to escape than a whole camp of bandits, after all."

Ash then reclined back against the cell floor, putting her hands behind her head to use as a pillow. "Now, I'm gonna try to get some rest, so I'm at full strength if I change my mind and do make an escape attempt later. If you like your hair unsinged, I recommend not waking me up for anything unimportant."

And with that, Ash closed her eyes and tried to put her terrifying situation out of her mind. Outnumbered by foes, weakened magic, idiots for allies... it wasn't good. It was bad, really bad... don't think about it... just rest... don't think about it... she'd get out of this... somehow... problem for the morning... just rest...

[P] I tell the half-elf that her plan is bad, and I won't sacrifice myself for someone who's not willing to take risks themselves.
