Chapter 6
by
Succuboi
What's a poor, pregnant elf to do?
[P] He hides, of course.
Krin takes a moment once he's out of the rain to just catch his breath, leaning on his staff and taking a look around. The tower sure doesn't look like much. He'd half hoped to find something useful. Even just a scrap of cloth to cover himself with would have been nice. Nothing but dusty, useless books is a bit of a disappointment. At least it seems he has the place to himself.
Wait. There. Something glitters under the workbench. Krin waddles over, one hand on his swollen belly. He catches himself on the edge of the table as another ripple writhes inside him. "Uunngh, Stars I just can't get used to that..." He'd been so focused on just staying on his feet and moving through the storm he'd barely noticed them while he was out there, but now...
Once it passes, he slowly lowers himself to a crouch to get a closer look under the table. A ring? Best be careful, it might be magic... He isn't sure why that thought tickles at the back of his mind like something not quite remembered, but it seems like solid wisdom to abide by. He leans forward, struggling to keep his balance as he reaches for the ring.
The sound of footsteps upstairs stops him dead in his tracks. Did they hear me? Please, no... Luck, it seems, is not with him that far. The steps sound like they're coming to the stairs. He has to act quickly.
Going back out into the storm won't do him much good. Krin does the only other thing he can think of: he drops down on the floor and rolls under the workbench, biting his lip on a groan as landing on his swollen belly agitates the writhing thing inside him. He pulls himself as deep into the shadows under there as he can manage, scooping up the ring and concealing the glimmer in his closed hand. Hopefully his dark complexion will blend in enough to hide.
Can he stay hidden?

IMPREGNATAR | ANARCHY
A FREEFORM GAME OF SURVIVAL AND IMPREGNATION
An anarchy variant of IMPREGNATAR. While the original had a set handful of GMs, a canon timeline and balanced encounters, this version does away with balance by allowing anyone to GM any posts, including their own. This is an interactive survival story that's like a combination of D&D, Dark Souls, and Zelda. Your character awakens spawned into the middle of an unfamiliar forest. They have little memory of who they are or how they got there, and all but the faintest of survival assets. Post by post they will explore their surroundings hoping to gain skills, level up, and survive by avoiding any Bad End scenarios with a horrific (and probably kinky) fate. Or, in this case, probably experience as many Bad Ends as possible as they traverse multiple timelines.
