Chapter 6 by Nemo of Utopia Nemo of Utopia

[Nemo of Utopia: Also Current!] Those Who Have Survived.

Mintrachank searched the whole village, painstakingly and carefully, as Kurvanug had instructed. Among the ruins he found...

A very small Orcish family hiding in their partially collapsed cellar: a woman and her two young daughters*. Transforming into an ape he freed them from the wreckage.
*(Each no more than five years old...)

Enough food for fifteen people for a week, and enough jars, skins, and barrels of fresh water for two weeks:

Three books on various topics, one of which was an Orcish cookbook, one a manual on chariot maintenance in the hobgoblin dialect of the goblin language, and the third written in 'Common' and entitled:
"An Introduction To The Art And Science Of Practical Wizardry:
Rank one apprentices book of spells and theory.
By: Proffessor James McGuffin.
(Property of the Gozarian Academy of Magery.)"

Behind a crumbly patch of clay in a wall he found a bunch of sex toys inside a wooden box. There was a stone dildo sculpted like a circumcised orc penis, a glass butt plug, four pairs of fur lined manacles with eight cheap locks and keys, a whip, and a steel "strap in" double ended dildo which didn't match the phallus of any real species, having ridges on one end and bumps on the other with no glans on either...

His group of survivors located a hidden compartment inside the chimney of the headman's house. Within it was a bag with fourty-two Iron Pieces, twenty-two Electrum Pieces, and ten Adamantium Pieces. This was the entire treasury of the village, and the adventurers would be quite disappointed that they had missed it.

As the group leaves the village to search the surrounding area, Mintrachank found a set of thieves tools in the pouch of a dead orc. They weren't very good, but they were serviceable.

Not long thereafter they began locating handfuls of villagers who had fled in the confusion, and by the time the sun was setting they had found 15 people. Most were orcs, but five were goblins or hobgoblins, and one was the Headman's mercenary ogre enforcer. Before night fully descended they all made it back to the Kurvannug's campsite, and there they took council on what to do next...

The whole time there had been no sign of the adventurers, obviously they had moved on...


Most obvious things to vote on this time:

What Is The Decision Of The Survivors?

1: Stay or move on?

1A: Rebuild.
The Village had been their home and shelter for many years. If they reconstruct it, it can be so again...

1B: Refugees.
The village is in ruins, and more adventurers will come now that it's location is known. There is no sense in staying here, they must move on and find a new place to live.

2: Who's in charge?

2A: Kurvannug.
Kurvannug's summoned creature had gathered the survivors, she also represented the power of the divine, she is a natural choice to lead.

2B: Borgol.
The Headman's ogre enforcer is the biggest and strongest, and orcs respect size and strength.

2C: Gomlech.
Gomlech is Kurvannug's Husband, and in traditional orc society that means she must be subservient to him...

2D: Someone Else.
Make up a character that is a natural choice to lead, and if it catches on they could become the new Group Leader...
