Apalos is actually a faun, the rare, more benevolent kin of the satyrs; tall, with dark skin, curly brown hair, white goat legs, and a muscular build. He is loving, caring and nurturing where his cousins are wild and violent. He would never dream of harming Fionn or Lux – and he’s up for anything with them, as long as everyone consents.

Fionn is a young man from Hollowstone, about Lux’s age. Slim, with blond hair and a delicate, poetic nature, he’s never quite felt as though he fitted in with the manly quarrymen of his village – much as he secretly admired them from afar. He is bisexual, but lacks experience.
