[Loyal Troops] Isabella addresses the army
Isabella's eyes sought among the front row for General Serrano, finding his tall figure standing tall and proud, his eyes blazing as he stared into hers.
Had he been closer, her balcony not as high, she might have caught the tears that glistened in his eyes, the wet sheen on his cheeks.
“To the men and women who serve in the military, who stand as the shield of Montesoro, I address you now. My father’s vision was not simply built with stone and steel, but with the courage of those who stood by him, who fought for him, and who would lay down their lives for this country. You are the bedrock upon which Montesoro’s strength rests. It is through your discipline, your unwavering loyalty, that we have kept this land united."
On the streets, as her words rang out of the speakers, the soldiers straightened their backs, standing a little taller, a little prouder.
"My father was one of you, and he trusted you. He relied on you. I will do the same. The future of Montesoro lies in our hands, and you must decide, as you always have, whether you will serve this nation proudly or allow its enemies to tear us apart. Our enemies will not stop. They will continue to threaten our people, our way of life. But they will have to go through you, the unyielding shield that stands between the chaos and the order we have worked so hard to build. I will ensure that the military remains strong, and together, we will protect this nation from those who would destroy it."
Down below, General Serrano saluted, acknowledging her words.
