And you?

[LOG] The Starry Eyed

There is an expectation of modesty at the core of Imperial society. The censors may be mocked, but their decrees are respected. The actions of Navy and military may be hotly debated, but never without at least some feelings of patriotism. The Emperor may not have been seen in two years, but people like His Imperial Majesty. Polite Society respects the church, even if the priests complain that attendance is sparse outside of the high holidays. And everyone abhors the Feyish Foe.

Few of the Starry Eyed proclaim outright sympathy with the soulless enemy (and those that do, do not tend to live in freedom long). But they do reject all the other mores of society, all false modesty as they call it. And this means that they at least embrace the trappings and the allure of the forbidden – of the Feyish.

There are people not unlike you, people who have seen awesome things out at sea, or during campaign. Horrors and wonders that human speech struggles to describe. There are artists who take inspiration from the strange, the forbidden, and the fey. Visionaries who struggle against the censor’s commands, and against the mundane morality preached from church pulpits. And then there are the hangers-on; poseurs and rich idlers who like the debauchery but seem incapable of understanding anything beyond.
