As Mrtve floated serenely in the calm waters, she noticed waves on the surface that did not seem to be natural in origin. They were emanating from a point about 30 feet away from her... a point that was moving.

She dipped her head under the water for a moment and opened her eyes, only wincing slightly at the feel of the water on her naked eyeballs since it wasn't filled with salt or chlorine. It was then that she discovered that she was not alone in these waters.

There was some sort of green bipedal lizard creature paddling just below the water's surface a few feet away from her. It wore metal armour on its back and head and held an odd curved dagger in one of its hands/claws. This was clearly no base beast.

As she watched it, its chameleon-like eyes swivelled this way and that... until they stopped, locked directly onto her! With graceful coordination of limbs and tail, it turned to face her and began swimming towards her alarmingly fast!
