Part 2
[Epilogue] Ultimate Goal [Part 2]
In the dark realm, Morgan approached the body of Zymera, slumped defenselessly in her throne. With every step towards her, purple lightning bolts pounded down in the distance, the domain’s eldritch inhabitants aflutter with an uncharacteristic restlessness. It was as if the realm itself was able to sense that something was wrong with its master, that some great upheaval was about to occur.
Morgan quickly got to work. The trap within Zymera’s avatar had prevented her from severing the mind link, but it hadn’t moved her mind into the homunculus body. No, Zymera’s mind was still located in her own head, just unable to command her original body. If Zymera had calmly assessed the situation, she might have realized that destroying the homunculus body would free her. But of course, Morgan’s plan to manipulate the goddess’ emotions prevented her from realizing this.
Morgan climbed the black throne and got in position behind Zymera’s head. Morgan’s hand disappeared into her robe pocket, returning with a thin wand. Morgan expertly manipulated it, channeling magic energy into the tool and drawing purple lines of energy that hung in the air. Morgan continued to draw, turning lines into symbols, and combining symbols into a spell pattern that hovered behind the goddess’ head. Zymera had several defenses against mind-altering spells on her body, but every defense had its weakness. From the very first moment that Morgan laid eyes upon Zymera, she had already begun looking for ways to exploit those weaknesses.
Morgan completed the spell pattern, but instead of activating it, she began to draw another one beside it. One spell pattern became two, then three, as the number of patterns grew and grew. Morgan continued drawing different spell patterns and complex interconnections between them. What began as a single pattern behind Zymera’s head had grown to completely surround it, forming a complex superstructure unlike any compound spell in the history of magic.
Every part of the spell had its role in delicately penetrating the tiny gaps in Zymera’s protection. There could be no mistakes in any of the patterns, they all had to be perfect. Impossibly perfect. But that’s exactly what Morgan was reaching towards, the impossible goal of toppling a supreme goddess.
Morgan, who was originally just a weak human mage, cursed with only a weak trickle of magic energy. Morgan, the mage that dedicated an unmatched amount of time and energy to mastering the delicate control of even the smallest amounts of magic energy. Morgan, the only one who could bring this impossible spell into reality.
While designing the superspell, Morgan had to solve a certain problem. Such a sprawling web of magic required a huge amount of dark magic energy, much more than Morgan’s current body, Coltia, could provide. Where could such a source of energy come from? While there were many options of varying benefits, detriments, and complexity, Morgan arrived at a surprisingly simple answer. Why not use the energy from Zymera herself? She had plenty to spare, in fact she had so much that it spilled out of her against her will. There was something poetic about using Zymera’s own magic energy to power the spell that would **** her mind out of her body.
Morgan’s wand finally stopped moving. A beautiful network hovered around Zymera’s head, composed of a myriad of perfectly drawn shapes and symbols. It was done. The greatest masterpiece of magic research was complete. Morgan carefully checked over everything to ensure that there were no mistakes. After confirming that there were no errors, Morgan did a second round of meticulous checking.
Morgan cautiously activated the superspell. The pattern responsible for siphoning Zymera’s dark magic began to fill the other patterns with energy, with sections beginning to glow as they charged. Morgan watched closely as the last parts of the spell energized, tracing the movement of energy through the channels. Everything was flowing correctly. Morgan continued to observe as the spell energized, ensuring that there were no flaws that could bring everything crashing down.
But unfortunately for Zymera, there were no mistakes. The spell was ready. Morgan smiled, and even though she knew that Zymera couldn’t hear her, she spoke to the goddess’ **** body.
“You were right not to trust me~ Oh but you were so sure of yourself, so certain that you were untouchable~ Well, when I’m in charge I won’t make the same mistake~ I hope you enjoyed your time as the goddess of dark magic, because now it’s my turn~”
Morgan triggered the fully charged superspell. Thin tentacles of energy slowly emerged from multiple circular patterns. They slowly approached with sinister movements, dozens of them reaching Zymera’s head and phasing inside. Some tentacles moved independently, while others acted in concert with each other. It was as if a flurry of lockpicking tools were systematically working towards the common goal of unlocking Zymera’s defenses. The face of the goddess remained calm and undisturbed as the tentacles undermined her protection, slipping in undetected and uncontested.
Some of the tentacles stopped moving, having finished their work. More and more stopped as diabolical progress was made. Finally, the last thin tentacle halted, and everything stood still for a moment. After a short pause, a thicker, more menacing energy tentacle emerged from the largest circular pattern right in front of Zymera’s forehead. It moved without hesitation, straight into Zymera’s forehead and phasing through it just like the other tentacles. This time, Zymera’s body responded. She groaned uncomfortably, as if she was having a bad dream. She squirmed in her throne as the tentacle pushed itself inside her head, her movements becoming more erratic as the ethereal tentacle continued to invade her most private sanctum.
The thick tentacle continued pushing deeper inside Zymera’s head until it eventually slowed to a stop. It paused for a brief moment before reversing direction and slowly pulling out. Zymera’s body started to squirm harder, and the uncomfortable groans grew louder and louder. With every slow inch that the tentacle retracted, Zymera’s body grew more and more ****. But no matter how much Zymera’s body twisted and writhed, the tentacle continued its progress mercilessly.
The tentacle grew thinner as it approached its end. Zymera’s squirming and groaning began to lose its energy, until her body fell completely limp. The tentacle finally exited the goddess’ forehead, with its tip clutching a bright light. Morgan moved quickly, sealing the light within a crystal container covered in engravings.
The magnificent superspell began to fizzle and disappear with its task completed. Morgan stood in front of the truly empty body of the powerful goddess, ripe for the taking. Morgan’s heart- or rather Coltia’s heart was nearly pumping out of her chest. She was on the precipice of attaining ultimate power. All of that preparation, just to get to this point. Now, just one more step.
Morgan retrieved the original notebook from her robe pocket, flipping it open to the first possession spell. It was obsolete at this point, an old rough prototype, but there was a bit of whimsy in Morgan that compelled her to use it. What started this long journey may as well end it. Morgan drew the pattern on Zymera’s forehead with ritualistic care. She admired the pattern, and said some final words.
“Cheers to the end of one journey, and the beginning of eternity~”
Morgan struck Coltia’s forehead against Zymera’s, sending the mage’s mind into the welcoming emptiness of what used to be Zymera. Morgan’s mind rushed into the helpless body of the dark goddess, asserting its dominance as the new owner of this divine vessel. Every part of her body was teeming with power, an intoxicating pleasure that Morgan reveled in.
Morgan’s new eyes fluttered open, seeing the **** form of Coltia slumped on top of her. A smile crept onto the new goddess’ lips. Morgan rose from her throne, unceremoniously dropping the body of Coltia to the side. She marveled at her new form, inspecting herself to her heart’s desire.
Morgan’s body was now the physical embodiment of beauty and power. Of all the vessels that Morgan had inhabited, there was no comparison to this one. This was unquestionably the pinnacle. As she moved, she could feel strength in every fiber of her being. Activating one of the spell patterns engraved in her arm, Morgan created a viewing portal that reflected her new self.
She eyed her perfect figure, sensually moving while appreciating every part of her new self. She couldn’t help but pay extra attention to the long legs that were visible between her dress slits. Out of curiosity, she tried a pose that required quite some flexibility, and was pleasantly surprised to discover that she could do it with ease. Even though the original Zymera never showed it off, her body was incredibly flexible. Her body was simply perfect in every way, and now it had the perfect mind to guide it.
After Morgan was satisfied with exploring her physical form, she began to test her abilities. Aiming a hand into the distance, another set of magic patterns on her arm began to glow. Morgan could feel it drawing from a nearly infinite pool of energy within herself, as she fired the spell out of her hand. A purple projectile flew out at great speed, gradually arcing until it hit the ground and caused a devastating explosion. She turned her hand over, admiring it with a sinister smile. Think of all the spells that could be cast with such an ample supply of dark magic energy. The possibilities were now truly endless.
The new goddess extended her other arm above Coltia. The shadow cast by Morgan’s arm began to extend, wrapping around the herbivore goddess’ body much like the hands cast by the shadow lantern. She would be quite the useful research material wouldn’t she? Oh, speaking of research…
Morgan drew a portal spell circle on the ground, filling it with magical energy and producing a fiery purple ring. Out of that ring, a female homunculus wearing a maid dress stepped through, tilting her head up to look at the new body of her mistress.
“Congratulations mistress Morgan, it seems that your plan was successful.”
…
Over the next weeks, Elsie busied herself with moving Morgan’s lab to the dark realm. With the assistance of golems created by Morgan, they constructed a new home in the barren land, one that was surprisingly comfortable. Even before Morgan had the help of her lab equipment, she was already researching and studying. With the resources that the new goddess had access to, how could she not investigate long unanswered questions?
What were the exact differences between a god’s body and a mortal’s? Why did some gods have human-like forms while others were animal-like? Were the gods granted their powers by some greater ****? Was Morgan the first mortal to ascend to godhood, or were there others?
There were so many questions to answer, so many experiments to conduct and new discoveries just waiting to be uncovered! Still though, there were practical matters to be dealt with. Being confined to the dark realm was admittedly unpleasant, but the true issue was the group of gods that kept her in place. Morgan might have taken over the ultimate being, but she was still one among others. These other gods… they would need to be dealt with. Of course it would take careful and lengthy planning, but if Morgan was able to take everything from Zymera, then the other gods were far from safe.
Good Luck Gods!
