What kind of creatures are they?

They are mites: small, ugly, blue-skinned fey creatures, humanoid in shape but with oversized heads. Although cowardly and physically weak, they have two troublesome signature abilities: first, a minor curse that can unnerve their enemy, and second, a rapport with insects and other vermin, which they can coax to fight on their behalf.

As with the Valley’s other inhabitants at the moment, their interest in Lux is driven by lust: the desire to mate and breed with her. They are, however, pretty bad at planning and coordination, acting as a mob of individuals rather than as a cohesive group.
