[Author's Notes]

This story will contain two branches that I will either alternate between regularly, or focus on one branch for a while before switching back to the other.

The story roughly takes place right around 1000CE with Emperor Basil II as ruler of the Byzantine Empire, the conversion of the Rus to Christianity (Eastern Orthodoxy) and the official recognition of the Varangian Guard has happened just over a decade ago (even though the latter unofficially was started near 130 years prior according to most scholarly records).

The main branch (Magnus) will involve things that you may find boring, but that I greatly enjoy as a historian and amateur economist. Namely, the art of commerce where Isa shall engage in haggling, trade good management, and light accounting. I was greatly inspired by a story on here (Dungeon Building for Beginners) many years ago, especially by one of the characters, a Fey Squire, who had a nice set up for mercantile nerds like me. I promise it will not just be boring transactions, there will still be heavy plot and plenty of boinking.

The secondary branch (Aybars) will be much darker in tone, at least upfront. I do plan on it eventually being 'nicer' and more mutually respectful, but it will be a tough road for Isa to walk down in the beginning. Fear not, there will still be 'boring' management there as well in some capacity!

In both branches, there will be a focus on kinks I enjoy, namely ball worship, musk/scent play, powerplay, and the intense desire of a superior male to breed the woman underneath him. Also, either may engage in unrelated kinks to its brother-branch.
