When Shiroe walked into the Guild hall the next morning, he could again feel every eye in the room upon him. Without the antics of the ladies to distract them, it was a very different mood. Who was this outsider who had successfully run a quest with not one, but three of the most useless Adventurers in town? Was he a potential ally? A rival? A threat? What was his angle?

Well, he'd just posted a 'looking for party' notice, so there was one easy way to find out.

"Here's what I can do. My team can carry you until you hit Level 3, whereupon you immediately dual-class away from Rogue and start leveling towards some sort of Tank class. Crusader, Defender, Shield Maiden, whatever. The Guild receptionists can help you hash out the details. I'd expect you to use those eyes, ears and mouth to keep the party informed of anything unusual that you notice while adventuring. As soon as we can afford to, we enchant that heavy armor so you can move normally, but only when your commander allows it."

"Ah! Mister Shiroe! Don't get the wrong idea..." But the way she blushed would have told him something even if he hadn't suddenly started sensing her stats the moment she got close. "I just thought you might want to know about this Quest. Somebody else came in and accepted it while you were interviewing all those people, but until someone claims the reward, it's still technically up for grabs..."

Shiroe looked down at the card she was holding. He frowned.

Then he pushed his glasses up his nose.

"All right, ladies. Change of plan."
