(Aside 7)-Sarah makes a discovery again...

"Listen, Sarah, how's your dad doing?"

Sarah paused for a moment to think about what she knew was happening, especially since she had gotten a text update from Derek a bit earlier in the afternoon about how he had "been called" away from the coffee house and left both his father and her mother there, his dad without a vehicle to drive away. "Well, he's seemingly adjusting well at the job and he's made some good female friends."

"Men too?"

She thought about it a bit more. "I'm not sure, really, though with tits and curves like that, I'm surprised not more men are breaking down our door." She sat down on the couch and held the small pill bottle in front of her. "Still, he's starting to pay more attention to this one guy, name is William."

Tom was hesitant for a moment and she was about to check if he was still there when he spoke again. "Listen, you know what those pills are in your hand, yes?"

She turned to look at the label. "I can't really read it...what are they?"

"My friend, an endocrinologist, got me a fake prescription for some pills that were designed to help keep his body in check, at least at a low level anyway. They're somethings that some of the other Queens here take on the daily as a means to keep a feminine appearance. Not enough to neuter them so don't worry about long term impacts but enough to get things...well..."

She sat up quickly and looked at the pills again. "You mean dad's been taking female hormones for the past 1 and a half weeks?"

Tom answered sheepishly. "Yes...I wanted to help him but I knew it wasn't going to be safe so I asked my friend to recommend a good safe self-dose. We all use it, I use it too."

"B-But how would that affect his mental state? Would that make him a bit more...well..."

"Attracted to men now? It shouldn't...but it impacts people differently." He sounded more than a bit worried. "Look, I'll talk with my friend again. Just make sure that you watch your father carefully, okay?"

She hung up on him and tossed her head back and stared at the ceiling. Shit, dad's gonna flip if he hears about this...
